Ride @ 3, Show @ 6! Show location TBA.
Don your most fabulous 1890s bifuricated garments and celebrate the Bloomer Suit, a garment that provided unprecedented mobility for members of the "gentler sex." We will start off with a performance of "Pants! A Mini-Musical about the Bicycle, Dress Reform, and Gender Liberation!" We will then visit some historic sites in Portland, and end with a show by Bicycle Face, the authors of "Pants!," as well as other fun historical/queer/environmental tidbits for adults and children alike! You can check out our music at bicycleface.bandcamp.com. Bloomers started as a dress with pants underneath, morphed in to actual pants, and somehow ended up as frilly underwear. Wear whatever, google for costume ideas!
