From July 13-August 17, we'll be leading a bike bus to Sellwood Park every Monday morning. This year we're excited to announce an extra bonus: Everyone 14 or under who joins us gets a raffle ticket to win a FREE WOOM BIKE, and other prizes. The winner will have their choice of a Woom Go (for kids 1.5 to 8 years old) or a Woom Explore (for kids 6 to 14). Each time a child joins us, even if they're riding with an adult, they'll get a raffle ticket. The more times you ride, the more chances to win. The Bike Bus is being coordinated with the Sellwood Community House for their summer camps, but you don't need to go to the camp to join us and get a raffle ticket. Every Monday morning the Bike Bus will leave from in front of Llewellyn Elementary School, ride a loop on bike-friendly roads and greenways, and end at Sellwood Park where Sellwood Community House has activities planned all day. The rides will be family-friendly, with music, and an adult ride leader and caboose rider. Helmets are required for anyone under 16 years old. Kids riding on their own bike should be at least 8 years old and able to ride for a couple miles. Younger kids may join with parental support. Parents are encouraged and welcome to attend. All bikes should be in good condition. The pace will be fairly slow, and nobody will be dropped. The Bike Bus will only go to Sellwood Community House and Sellwood Park; riders will return on their own. Below is the Bike Bus schedule. The route is the same as last year, but will leave earlier to get to Sellwood Park by 9 am. Riders can join at any of the stops along the route. 8:30 am - Leave from the front of Llewellyn Elementary School on SE 14th Ave 8:35 am - SE 19th & SE Claybourne St 8:40 am - SE 19th & SE Spokane St 8:45 am - At Sellwood Middle School, SE Umatilla St & SE 15th Ave 8:50 am - Arrive at Sellwood Community House at SE 15th & SE Spokane St 8:55 am - Arrive at Sellwood Park on SE 7th Ave
