Do you think the climb up to Council Crest on a bicycle is a tough-but-rewarding endeavor? If so, this ride may not be for you. This is more for the “What? How much climbing!? No way, that’s crazy!” crowd. When I climbed this last month I didn’t think I was gonna make it, but then I did make it. I wanna do it again with other people who might not think they can do it, and then find out they can. Let’s do this! We’ll go slow in places, and we’ll stop and wait if we want so that we all make it. Nobody left behind! If you’ve never climbed up to Council Crest before, now is the time. The group pic at the top is gonna feel great. We’ll do it in the morning before it gets hot, and then after the really smooth and fun descent you can join me (optional) for a well-earned breakfast burrito at Tacos Fita in Beaverton, which IMHO is a slightly more sophisticated breakfast burrito than a lot of other places. If you’ve never been, it is a very pleasant spot.
