Ride is a loop
Ride length: 8-15 miles
It’s Pie and Beer Day! Are you ex-Mormon? Mormon? Mormon adjacent? A Utah connection? Or you just like bikes, pie, and or beer? Come roll on a social-pace bike ride. In Utah, today is a state holiday, Pioneer Day, to commemorate the Utah immigrants first arriving in the Salt Lake Valley. For those not fans of religion or European cultural invasions, it’s also known “Pie and Beer Day” — a nice holiday in the summer when you meet up with your friends for pie and beer. As ex-Mormons, we’ll have lots of things to talk about. Where do we buy our underwear now? How to have a speakeasy in the trunk of your car with your pals when left out in the cold at a family members wedding? Did you go on a mission? Ride a bike there? We’ll start outside the ex-Mormon church at 30th and Harrison, roll through some pretty streets and parks, have a layover at a Willamette River beach for communion. If any riders want to become Mormons so they can become genuine ex-Mormons we can baptize you in the river! Then head to Lauretta-Jean’s Pie Shop at 34th and Division. Come join for the theme, or just to ride with cool people.
