    Loop Ride is a loop

Alright, stoners, I want to blast Sleep's seminal 1992 masterpiece, Sleep's Holy Mountain, from my speaker bike as I ride through Holy Mount Tabor Park around sunset on a car free Wednesday, and I want you to join me. Mount Tabor is closed to stupid cars every Wednesday. It's the perfect opportunity for a silly bike ride. We'll climb to the top, do some laps, probably do a few descents and climbs, all soundtracked by my personal favorite heavy psych stoner doom metal trio's best work. Ride leader will be on a cargo bike with a big speaker; it will not be a very fast ride. We'll chug along more or less at the speed of the riffs, but we will pedal for close to an hour and there will be hills; it will not be a very easy ride. Sunset on 6/24/26 is very near 9pm. My thinking is: gather around 8:00 to catch the golden hour, enjoy the view of downtown late in the day, maybe get in the "stoner" mindset (figuratively speaking), and then we'll press "play" and start riding at 8:30. I will play the album straight through from beginning to end. It is 52 minutes long, so that'll be our ride duration. Goal is to be at the top of the hill at the end of "Nain's Baptism," then maybe we chill for four minutes and twenty seconds before one last descent to their new song, "Have Spacesuit Will Travel," dropping everyone back at the start around 9:30pm. I have a Sony speaker that has a party mode that can pair with other speakers, but I haven't tried it yet and it might only work with other Sony speakers. Please arrive closer to 8pm if you want to try to sync up. Hope to see you there.
