Ride length: 3-8 miles
Save the date! We are organizing a ride to support the petition to extend the Alberta Greenway through Sacajawea Park, connecting inner NE Portland to east Cully, Sumner, and the Maywood Park I-205 path entrance. Ride starts at 6pm. We will meet at 5:30 at Fernhill Park and ride to Maywood Park and back to Sacajawea Park. We will be riding by Kʰunamokwst Park as well if you wish to join later. You will experience the current route cyclists have to take and then the aspirational route as proposed by PBOT years ago. This route would be possible with passage through Sacajawea Park! Children are welcome, but please note that parts of the route are not safe for children to be cycling on their own (as opposed to in a seat, trailer, tagalong, etc.). Also please consider viewing the route ahead of time as some families may not feel comfortable taking children (which is kind of the point of our efforts).
