Ride length: 8-15 miles
Get your gluten AND your glutes on! A morning tour of some of Portland's best sourdough bread bakeries. We'll meet in the miasma under the Franz bread sign to get in the mood, then ride through SE Portland and NE Portland ending at the King Farmer’s Market for a picnic on the lawn. I'll get a loaf from each bakery, but please bring some $$ to support the bakers and/or contribute bread or spread to share! Extra points if you baked it yourself. The ride is not a loop, under ten miles for the whole shebang. No-drop, social pace, but we'll limit stops to 20 min (so maybe don't order a complicated sandwich). If you want to stay longer (maybe you really want that complicated sandwich) you can catch up at the next bakery. Helpful but not necessary for picnic time: blanket, knives, cutting boards, spreaders/spoons.
