This Valentine's Day, with national/international events feeling particularly scary, we invite you to come ride bikes with us and ground yourself (and your revolutionary actions) in love. We're talking about the kinda love that makes you wanna get on a bicycle with your friends in the dead of winter, the kinda love that makes you ask yourself "how can I live with less so others can live with more," and the kinda love where Whitney Houston plays in your head whenever you watch someone kick tail lights outta a kidnap van. BRING ME THAT HIGHER LOVE, BABY. Holding Hearts Bloc and Revolutionary Bicycle Club will lead this casual-paced ride around inner SE/NE, dropping off meals and winter gear to unhoused neighbors and Valentine's Day goodies to anyone and everyone. We'll listen to our favorite love songs as we ride, and we'll do some fun activities to show our appreciation for each other. There MIGHT be dancing. There will DEFINITELY be cupcakes. We'll end at Lenora's Ballroom for a fundraiser event for families affected by ICE–bring some $$ so you can get in on lots of tasty desserts and Valentine's Day activities ($15 suggested donation, but NOTAFLOF). If you're able, you can donate $$ to us in advance of the ride so we can purchase food & items to distribute to neighbors. Feel free to also bring your own treats to give out!
