Grief is a journey that looks different for everyone. It can feel heavy, isolating, and difficult to put into words. Participating in pedalpalooza this summer was incredibly healing for me and I am so grateful for this community. I particularly love riding through the beautiful neighborhoods and seeing all the incredible architecture, abundant plant life, adorable animals, and pedestrians getting second-hand joy as we wave while passing by. I will be silent for the entirety of the ride and I encourage everyone to do the same (including no bells/noise makers).* Be mindfully present. Take in your surroundings and realize how lucky we are to awaken here everyday. Reflecting quietly we can honor our loved ones, process loss, and feel the support of our present company. Ride will be casual paced, ~8-10 miles and will be a loop. Whether you're mourning the loss of a loved one or simply the changing of the seasons, you are welcome here. Let this ride remind you that you are not alone. *I believe if everyone is more present and not distracted in conversation, there will not be a need to alert others with "car up" and such. Simple hand signals will be more useful when everyone is mindful. That said, don't hesitate to vocalize any needs. This is a no-drop ride. If you need to stop for any reason, we will be there with you. **Feel free to text me with any questions, concerns, if you're running late, or need a pin drop to our location.
