    Loop Ride is a loop

    Portland Bicycling Club hosts a Ride of Silence: Ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. with departure at 7 p.m. from Woodstock Park SE 47th and Steele. This is part of a worldwide event to honor bicyclists killed by motorists, promote sharing the road and provide awareness of bicycling safety. The route will take us to the sites of 5 bike/car crashes resulting in the death of the cyclists. The terrain is relatively flat and participants may leave the ride at any time. Distance is 15 miles. This will be a group ride with a maximum speed of 12 mph. Helmets are mandatory. Please have lights (think funeral protocol) and a black arm band would be appropriate.
