It's spring! Let's look at some cherry blossoms and other sweet spring blooms while listening to Twee. What is Twee? People may have their own interpretation, but for this ride it's late 90's and early/mid 2000's indie rock/post-riot grrrl/ indie-brit-pop. Here are some artists for reference: Heavenly, Belle and Sebastian, Tullycraft, The Pastels, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Camera Obscura, Dressy Bessy, and more! (Also playing twee-adajacent tunes) Twee to me is the perfect soundtrack to spring, with its sweet, earnest, hopeful, and sometimes messy and self deprecating sounds. Put on your cutest pastel sweater, a wool cardigan, your favorite patterned socks, and let's have a cute wholesome time. Ride will start at Oregon park, ride through some cute houses and front yards in Irvington/ kerns, store stop for tea and snacks, and then end at water front, where we will hangout with the cherry trees. Route will be 7-10 miles, chill pace. Bring your speakers to join the Spotify jam!
