We've got a few things to celebrate and want to invite volunteers, students, and interested community members to celebrate with us! We're half way through summer and we've got a lot to be excited about: --Consistent Tuesday drop-in nights have hosted dozens of volunteers this year with hundreds of hours committed to the cause. This Drop-in night will have opportunities to work on bikes, but will also serve as a fun hang out to thank everyone for the help this year. We couldn't process and redistribute all these bikes without you! --We've brought back structured classes in the space for the first time since March 2020. We're thrilled to have all of these new folks in the space and putting the "cool" back in "Bike Shop and sChOOL". This will be a great opportunity for students who have completed the first course to see what volunteering is like, and for new and prospective students to check out our volunteering programming --Our summer intern has put in consistent shifts, being the first person to be in 4+ days in the shop/week since... 2021? We're so glad to have had the help and the opportunity to get to know Elijah so we want to have a big send off! --a few fun upcycled bike part carnival games with some fun prizes, including the 1st Annual Tire Time Trials --a screen-printing station with 3 B4H screens donated by volunteers over the hears. I found some blank shirts at the bins for printing on, but please bring anything you'd want screenprinted to make your own b4h swag --snacks and beverages--probably pizza and NA drinks, maybe beer. --our upstairs shop in action--an opportunity to put your own bike in the stand or to work on donated bikes -- at **least** one surprise
