Super Smash Bros, originally created by Nintendo's Masahiro Sakurai in 1999, has been an amazing video game franchise for decades, offering a unique platforming battle royal experience between all your favorite Nintendo characters. Taking place in fantasy worlds and using weapons throughout the Nintendo universe, the goal was to eliminate opponents by building up damage percentages and eventually sending them flying off the side of the screen. It's provided countless hours of entertainment in my life from childhood sleep-overs, to college parties, to work events. And now, I want to bring it to Pedalpalooza. Come ride bikes with me through some cool Portland neighborhoods dressed as your favorite Nintendo character, bring a PROP weapon to tie the look together. You'll need it by the end. The ride will stop by 5 different locations that, with the right imagination, could serve as Super Smash Bros levels. Each stop, after the first, will include a new round of bracket-style, non-physical elimination determined. Dress up. Ride bikes. Have fun. No store-stops, so come prepared with any provisions, rations, vittles, or whatever you need to get your game on. If you have a sound system you want to share, please get in touch.
