Welcome to Reality Check Summer Camp, where the motto is simple: "Think inside the box." This camp is designed for all you quirky kids who need a little help fitting in and learning to be less, well, different. Here, we'll teach you the fine art of blending in, following the rules, and embracing the ordinary.... ???????????????????????????????? ### PORTAL DOOR APPEARS### ???????????????????????????????? C'mon kid - us weirdos have to stick together. Before you get stuck in a summer of dull conformity, follow us on a family friendly journey to a place where weirdness is celebrated and magic is real. That's right, I'm talking about the Boiling Isles! Grab your bikes and get ready for an adventure that will blow your minds and make your summer unforgettable. We'll start our ride by escaping Reality Check Summer Camp by jumping on our bikes and riding through the Titan-fueled portal door [Orenco Central Park]. Here, the world around you starts to warp and shimmer. Welcome to the Boiling Isles, where witches, lovable house demons [Hoot-hoot! Guess who found a special friend in the forest! It was me. Hoot!], and titans once roamed. Our ride will take you through the bustling, vibrant streets of Bonesborough, filled with its lively markets and eclectic inhabitants [Hillsboro Farmers' Markets - Orenco Station]. We'll make our way to the Titan's Knee [Oro the Friendly Forest Giant at Hidden Creek Park West], through eerie and enchanting landscapes, brimming with the sights and sounds of magic, and pedal around Eclipse Lake [Splash Pad at Hidden Creek Park East] before heading back to the portal door. Along the way, you'll encounter magical glyphs [SIDEWALK CHALK!], potent potions [WATER BOTTLE FILL UPS!], and maybe even a wild demon or two [OTHER KIDS AT THE PARK!]. But don't worry – with friendship and bravery on your side, you'll handle any challenge that comes your way. So, gather your fellow misfits, embrace your weirdness, and get ready for an epic ride through the Boiling Isles. Whether you're a budding witch or a curious human, this adventure promises thrills. Stay clear of the coven guards or titan trappers, and we'll find some slaygrounds along the way. Feel free to hit up the Bonesborough night market ahead of the ride to pick up some fried orb and apple blood. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/47279494 Copying from the Kidical mass folks because the spirit is shared: "It is suitable for most young bike riders who can pedal their own bike without training wheels. We will stop for a while to play, hang out at parks, and then head back...we will ride at a slow pace for little pedalers and parents on cargo bikes. Kids should wear a helmet, be able to balance and pedal in a straight line, start and stop. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for kids who haven’t learned to pedal. Adult corkers are welcome to join as a traffic safety superheroes. We’ll ride together as a group, rain or shine, because kids are traffic too!"
