Ride is a loop
Dearest, Join us as we meander through the loveliest streets observing urban beauty, inspirational murals and the love and poetry imbued within the energy of the city. Along with a love-themed music soundtrack, we'll read examples of classic love letters and lovely poetry from throughout the ages. We'll also make stops to take in scenes that will spark creativity as we pen actual love letters - to special ones, to those gone but whose memories live on in our hearts, to an individual who has changed your life and who you'd like to express gratitude to, to pets, to yourself... it's your choice who you put pen to paper for. Bring a pen (or old-school typewriter) and paper, the willingness to express your thoughts and feelings onto that paper (it's private and for you, we won't be sharing unless anyone would specifically like to), and the comfort of knowing that you while you might like to send the letter to the subject, you don't have to if you don't wish to! Lovingly, Billie Doo x Aiming for this ride to be a small old-school one with a calm and creative energy where we all feel comfortable so please read carefully: * No photos/videos: This is meant as an experiential ride where we're enjoying being in the moment. Low-tech loveliness. Pens and paper. * No creepiness: This is a female-led ride imbued with calm and creativity. The ride is female and child-friendly. * This is a sober ride, but bring as much kombucha as you like :) * If you want to listen to anything else apart from the playlist by the ride leader, this isn't the ride for you. It's frustrating for other riders to have random beats rolling past them in competition with the actual ride playlist. * Two-wheelers only: This ride can only accommodate bicycles (trailers ok); not skates, rollerblades, skateboards or onewheels. Meet at Laurelhurst Park on the main grassy area near the duck pond. There will be a brief store stop along the way. We meet at 6pm, ride at 6.30pm promptly, to finish no later than 8.30/9pm. This will be a no-drop ride, once we've set off we won't ride off into the sunset without you! Ride will be a loop.
