Ride is a loop
Still aching over Tina’s departure. This ride celebrates her life and music. What can you expect? The music will be Tina Turner and her friend Dechen Shak Dagsay. We will listen to Tina’s greatest hits as well as the Tibetan Chants that saved her life on more than one occasion. Tina used to chant for hours and hours a day, starting in the late 1970’s. Arguably, the most beautiful and profound music she made was in the last few years with Dechen Shak Dagsay. Theme: Tina Turner meant so much to so many people for so many reasons. You’re invited to share what she meant to you at the stops. Sing along to some of her songs. Dance. But, mostly basque in the music of the Queen of Rock n Roll and the Dolcet tones of her chanting. Route: Low effort. Slow social pace. Loop. Store stop at a New Seasons or somewhere with clean safe bathrooms. Safety: We practice consent on all our rides. We ask you ask anyone (incl your BFF or partner) permission before you touch them or their property. We practice non-violence specifically around car interactions. All the drivers we meet are neighbors and we or another ride will meet them again so our respect and appreciation has an impact. It is unacceptable to be aggressive towards any car driver because you put the whole ride at risk. If anyone makes you uncomfortable please seek a NakedHearts support person or the ride leader.
