Let's bike to the best film series in all of Portland - nay, all the WORLD: KUNG FU THEATRE If you're not familiar: local film guru / living Kung Fu Wikipedia / Hollywood Theatre programmer extraordinaire Dan Halsted runs a mind blowing film series at the Hollywood Theatre called KUNG FU THEATRE IT IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK IT IS - BUT BETTER! Thanks to Dan's encyclopedic knowledge and his stunningly rare collection of 35mm kung fu flicks shown on Hollywood Theatre's screens, Kung Fu theatre is always a good time. Stolen from the HT site: "featuring "Shaolin monks. Animal fighting styles. Flying guillotines. Old school sound effects. White-haired villains with maniacal laughter. This is Kung Fu Theater.
