End location: Wallace City Park, 2569 NW Pettygrove St.
This is the third leg of the 6th Annual Skinny Century (100 Km, sans clothing). HEAT UPDATE: Ride not canceled. This will be the second naked century in 100° weather. The route length will probably shrivel in the sun, but we'll be too distracted with hunting for sprinklers and shaded streets to notice. Ride in recognition of the SunieDae Nekkid Ride (the very first naked ride in the US — 2002, right here in Portland!) and in recognition of Teri Sue Webb, the first person to use naked bicycling as a form of protest. Again, we will induce the magical powers of the bicycle and use rays reflecting from our skin to amplify the magic as we wrap Portland into our spell. We'll meet up with the second leg of the century (Buff Ride to St. Johns) and then we'll continue to roll our magical shine through the streets of Portland, ending at Wallace City Park in time to recuperate for the fourth leg of the Skinny Century, The Fig Leif Ride. This will be a 150 minute, medium paced ride with a few breaks. Disrobe to YOUR comfort level and ride in protest of petrol dependency. Inviting all the shapes, colors, sizes, genders, and types. Celebrating *Body Freedom* and *Safety in Numbers*. Yes: Sips, signs, snacks, and sunscreen. Cameras must stay stowed (except at optional group photo). ORS 163.465 allows nonsexual public nudity as a legal form of protest.
