Adventure begins at 10:30am. Ride ends in Cully, followed by Pizza Jerk happy hour
4:00 PM
Street trees play vital environmental and visual buffering functions. On this ride from Downtown to Cully, we'll study how competing priorities for scarce right-of-way can impact urban trees by visiting great examples where trees were saved, sad examples of lost trees, and worrisome examples of trees in the cross hairs of future development. Brainstorm reforms to support the planting, growth and preservation of large form street trees. Learn about upcoming task forces and planning processes with Urban Forestry and PBOT to get involved. Guides: local land use & transport geeks, arborists, environmental leaders. Bag lunch or eat at The Ocean. Post-ride happy hour: Pizza Jerk. Join for all or part!
