A ride to the top of three buttes in the Gresham area which includes the newly-constructed nature park atop Hogan Butte. On a clear day you can see Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier, and Mt. Saint Helens from this park. The first climb to the 930-foot summit of Hogan Butte is the toughest, while we will already be at a pretty good elevation for Gabbert and Gresham Buttes. The 9-mile ride out from Lents Park is on the flat Springwater Corridor until we get to the steep 5-mile course shown in the picture. The route is paved except for 3/4 mile of gravel riding, and a quarter mile of walking bikes along a trail. If you want to do just the 5-mile butte ride, meet us at 3pm at Little Coho shelter on the Springwater at SE Hogan Rd.
