Ready for some gravel? Crown Zellerbach Trail is a gem and we are here to utilize it! This route will be about 104 miles and about 4k feet of elevation. Starting and ending in Portland. We will also utilize the Banks Vernonia Trail to head back so two fun trails for the price of one fun ride. The route is roughly 80% paved and 20% unpaved. Rolling up Crown Zellerbach there is some chunk so we recommend nothing narrower than 35-38mm tires. Food stops in Scappoose and Vernonia. We are a faster paced and more adventurous group ride with a no-drop mentality. Please bring water, snacks, flat repair kit, and P.M.A. A helmet is also HEAVILY encouraged! There will be stops to rest if needed on this longer journey. Cowabunga!

Time for a short excursion into the lower levels of Lloyd Center and a ride to meet up with the PSU Farmers Market Ride. We'll meet at Holladay Park around 9am then ride around 9:15-30 before riding down the Salmon Springs to meet up with the PSU Farmers Market Ride

WeBike events are for women, trans, and non-binary folks. This includes but is not limited to trans men, trans women, cis women, agender, gender queer, gender fluid, gender nonconforming, and Two Spirit people. A sliding scale RSVP ($0-40) includes a campsite, meals and snacks, and a MAX ticket. Plus, we have some gear available to borrow. We’ve had many first-time bike campers attend these trips with WeBike over the years, and most agree that this trip makes bike camping far more accessible and approachable than they ever expected. Our route is an out-and-back with 22 miles covered each day. The route is mostly flat (with one hill at the end) and all paved (except a half mile of dirt at the campground). Ride will begin at 9:30am, led by the incredible Abe Alkhamees - founder of The Paperclip and one of our 2026 jury members! There is the potential of goat sightings, peaches, and blackberries. Lots of chats about the 2026 FBB films and what to look forward to for the evening programing. Have you never heard an Outdoor Warning/Tornado/Air Raid Siren in your life? Or maybe you used to live in the Midwest and miss the electromechanical harmony they produce! Well this ride will take us to Gaston, located in beautiful rural Washington County, about a 13 mile ride, with not too much climbing from downtown Hillsboro. They happen to have an electromechanical siren (one that actually has moving parts, not a giant speaker) that they restored a couple years back, and they test it every first Saturday at noon! It is a Federal Signal 3T22, one of the most iconic American sirens ever made. This ride is an OUT AND BACK format, meaning we will be starting at Hillsboro Civic Centre, heading to Gaston, and then heading back to HCC via the same way, which is about 26 miles round trip. We will try our best not to drop on this ride, however we cannot delay too much, as the siren sounds sharply at noon, and there is only finite buffer time. Also, there is NO RELIABLE BUS OR MAX SERVICE AFTER LEAVING HILLSBORO. This means that if you are riding an EBike, to make sure you have enough range, and for anyone that your bike is in good condition, and that you have enough water and snacks, so that you do not need to be "rescued" home. We will make some stops along the way to carb up, hydrate, and enjoy the view! I do not recommend children, as the overall length is quite long, however if you would like to bring children in the Westside, consider looking at my Kidical Mass rides.

Community led ride - many folks now know the route and different folks can point the way each week! There are three meeting points: 1. SE Clinton St/41st Ave at 10 am (ride at 10:05) 2. SE Clinton St/26 Ave at 10:10 am (ride at 10:15) 3. Tilikum Bridge at (former) PDX Opera ~10:25 am; leaving from Tilikum location ~10:30 am 4. Arrive at PSU Market ~11 am Ride is on every Saturday the market is open (year round except weekend between Christmas and New Year). Join a fun ride from Sellwood Park to Downtown Milwaukie's waterfront. It's a summertime Bike Bus! This ride is for kids and families as part of Kidical Mass PDX -- promoting cycling safety and rider/auto visibility, especially for children. We'll meet at the newly re-opened recreational offering from Sellwood Community House, called "The Shack" in the park near the pool and playground. We'll then head out on this free, family-friendly, kid-paced bike ride. The route will take us on the Springwater Trail through Sellwood to the Trolley Trail to head south past Waverley Country Club on a mostly downhill and dedicated pedestrian/bicycle multi-use path. We'll enjoy free Otter Pops and splash in the Willamette River waterfront at our turn-around spot in Milwaukie Bay Park before returning to Sellwood Park along the same route. Ride length: 5.4 miles (2.2 each way) It is a great ride for most young bike riders who can pedal their own bike without training wheels. Bring swimwear, sunscreen and water! We should be back around 1pm. We will ride at a slow pace for little pedalers and parents on cargo bikes. Kids should wear a helmet, be able to balance and pedal in a straight line, start and stop. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for kids who haven’t learned to pedal. Adult corkers are welcome to join as a traffic safety superheroes. Learn how Portland is governed and how to get involved with public meetings, advocacy campaigns, ballot initiatives, elections, or other ways to participate. Meet grassroots voting advocates and learn about how simple and fair voting methods differ from choose-only-one models like IRV/STV. STAR Voting is an innovative voting method for more representative elections. Instead of being limited to picking just one candidate, you can score as many candidates as you like, showing your preference order and your level of support for the options. STAR Voting empowers voters to express their views and opinions more accurately, ensures that voters are able to vote their conscience without wasting their vote, combats polarization, and does a better job at electing winners who actually represent the will of the people. Enjoy a casual group ride and chat with STAR Voting volunteers about why STAR is different from other voting methods, how elections can be tools for understanding majority opinion and consensus-building, and what lets STAR elections cut through the gotchas that keep us trapped in a two-party system.

It's the final public day of the Lloyd Center, Portland's iconic 1960s mall, and the first mall in the world to have an ice skating rink. Put on your best funeral gear (or Tonya Harding outfit) and ride in a funeral procession looping through some of the funnest parking structures before ending with a skating exhibition and optional jam skate on the final day of the ice rink. All day skating is $20 including skate rentals.

Ever been to High Rocks on the Clackamas River in Gladstone? It's an awesome swim spot where the water stays cold year-round. So what better time to take a dip/dive than in the hottest part of summer? High Rocks is the perfect spot for every type of swimmer- places to just dip in, rocks jutting out a few feet above the water perfect for a cannonball, or take the challenge and jump from 20+ feet above the water. There are lifeguards on duty so everyone is safe. This is a one-way ride as the end point is the park and people are welcome to stay as long as they like. Bring sun block and water! Maybe even some snacks! The ride will start at Westmoreland Park in Sellwood at Hall Pond (approx. the intersection of SE 22nd and SE Rex St). From there we'll go through Sellwood and pick up the Trolley Trail that goes through Milwaukie and Oak Grove until it ends in Gladstone right near High Rocks (which is basically across the street from the DMV). It's between 8-9 miles one way to High Rocks.

The Bike Bus to the Beaverton Night Market is a community group ride with a casual pace that starts at Highland Park Middle School and rides to La Raíz Park for anyone from the Vose Neighborhood to hop on. Come join us as we crawl through N and NE PDX and visit some of our town's most beautiful public parks and maybe a public house or two. If people are interested, we can have extended stops at parks to hang out and roll some dice maybe? Costumes welcome! Dress up as your own D&D player character or your favorite romantic interest or villain from the realms. Plan for about 7 miles, give or take. This will be a medium-chill-paced ride. We might get excited but we certainly don't want to leave any adventurers in the dust. The ride will not be a loop, but very nearly so. We plan to end the ride at Old Town Brewing on NE MLK for beers and pizza. For those who want to join, some of us will be going to nearby Curious Comedy Theater to watch the new D&D-themed improv comedy show, Side Quest! It's Swords, Its Sorcery, it's Intrigue. Oh my! The Overlook monthly rides are free, family-friendly, and offer an opportunity to get outside and meet neighbors in a conversational paced ride that explores the many bike paths, routes, and destinations that Overlook has to offer. Route is always less than 6 miles (about 1 hour of riding) and is a loop. The rides are monthly on the 2nd Sunday of each month. The ride is led by Overlook Neighborhood Association Chair Nic Cota. The ride will meet at Grant Park at 9:30am and we will ride at 10 promptly. The ride is a loop and will be around 5.5 miles stopping at many installations in the Irvington area ending back at Grant Park's playground. There will be a lot of stops so please keep that in mind; the point is to enjoy all these unique installations that make Portland so amazing! If the ride is large it may be hard to enjoy each stop to the fullest, but we will do our best to make sure everyone gets to see and hear about each one while keeping on schedule. You can expect a mellow pace with a lot of regrouping as well to make sure everyone is together and safe. The stewards of most of these sidewalk joy installations will be home to greet us which is so special!If you have speakers, please bring them and join our jam or play only family friendly music while respecting keeping space riding between speakers. If you came last year you may remember how HOT it was! The route is shorter this year with less stops. PolaCon Portland is coming! During the weekend of August 7–9, 2026 join us for a three-day instant film celebration featuring workshops, photowalks, demos, and community fun. As part of the celebration, we are hosting a mellow paced ride following an almost-but-not-quite-a-loop around the central city. We'll stop at several photogenic locations to take pictures. While the focus of this ride is on instant photography, it is open to all bikes and cameras. Skateboards and other personal wheeled mobility devices also welcome. And there are plenty of Biketown stations near the start if you need to grab a bikeshare. Route is still being finalized, but we will have a few spots where non-cyclists can meet up.

Established in 2017, we ride once a month to enjoy what this city has to offer. Each month is led by a different CORVIDAE member, and therefore will be unique. We occasionally have themes or additional donations to different organizations. Additionally, host pop-up rides during the summer and collect dry non perishables for food donations every month. ​We try to focus our rides on greenways, group etiquette, safety measures and general comradery. In addition to bike safety and accessibility, we want to promote using bicycles as an alternative to fossil fueled travel within Portland. This is a no-drop ride, but please bring your repair kit with a spare tube so we can keep the ride rolling. Please bring your own provisions; we’ll be stopping near stores, but not at them. Each member has an eye out for the crowd, will cork, sweep and be a general pillar of support. Ride pace is casual at around 10 miles with a few park stops. Beware! What dangers have crept into those long abandoned halls? What creatures now inhabit those dark depths? What secrets far below the earth drove the dwarves to flee their city all those years ago? Only the bravest and mightiest adventures should dare take up King Hammerhorn's quest, but priceless treasures, ancient magics and unparalleled glory await any that survive. Dungeons & Dragons & Derailleurs is a Dungeons and Dragons-inspired ride that will have you and your adventuring party biking to a few different locations in N/NE Portland and playing a D&D-light choose-your-own-adventure game. No previous D&D experience required! We’ll have everything you need for the game, but bringing along notebooks and pencils or even a costume is definitely encouraged. Adventuring parties of 4 are ideal, but the game works for groups of other sizes. Or just show up at the starting location solo and invite strangers to join you on your quest! Note: This is a dispersed ride done in small groups. Our homebrewed game rules are in the links below for anyone curious, but there is no need to read them before the ride. They're simple and a DM will be at each location to lead you through the adventure.

We will ride in mindful silence, there will be a guided meditation break - 20 minute Some folks may choose to be silent throughout, some may chat on the break (away from the meditation space), before, and after. The Body and Mind Awareness Ride Series ------- Outside the Lines is a community-centered ride for folks who identify "outside the lines" — those who don't always feel like they belong. Bring your whole self, whether that's silly and social, quiet and reflective, or somewhere in between. We practice consent, follow the Shift2Bikes Code of Conduct, ride at a social pace, and do our best to ensure no one gets left behind. In August, Max will mark 30 years since his spinal cord injury. For all of you who have known him, you have seen how he has not only accepted this life but how he has risen to the challenge and embraced it. He has shared his love of live music, his marathons, Hood to Coast relays, rugby, cycling, and parenting with any and all who have joined him in these challenges. So, we hope you’ll join us in celebrating how to live the life we have for as long as we have it. As cycling is one of Max’s most favorite things, we will be doing a family friendly bike ride to celebrate these 30 years. This is the end ride to the previous four Park Disco rides. Arctic Monkeys, Massive Attack, The Prodigy, Underworld, R. Dean Taylor, Gloria Jones, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode... and many more mashed-up from before that you can dance with abandon to. This is more dance than ride. No store stop, bring your own supplies. This ride takes us back to times before internet takeover and social media puffed up egos, drained souls and wiped out humor. Simpler, better times. Those that were there were lucky to be there, and those who weren't, can be there now on this ride. This is not a ride for those who take themselves seriously. ROUTE: Route will be 15ish miles at a social pace with 1 store stop. The ride will not be a loop, but it won’t end far from the start point. This is a no-drop ride. From July 13-August 17, we'll be leading a bike bus to Sellwood Park every Monday morning. This year we're excited to announce an extra bonus: Everyone 14 or under who joins us gets a raffle ticket to win a FREE WOOM BIKE, and other prizes. The winner will have their choice of a Woom Go (for kids 1.5 to 8 years old) or a Woom Explore (for kids 6 to 14). Each time a child joins us, even if they're riding with an adult, they'll get a raffle ticket. The more times you ride, the more chances to win. The Bike Bus is being coordinated with the Sellwood Community House for their summer camps, but you don't need to go to the camp to join us and get a raffle ticket. Every Monday morning the Bike Bus will leave from in front of Llewellyn Elementary School, ride a loop on bike-friendly roads and greenways, and end at Sellwood Park where Sellwood Community House has activities planned all day. The rides will be family-friendly, with music, and an adult ride leader and caboose rider. Helmets are required for anyone under 16 years old. Kids riding on their own bike should be at least 8 years old and able to ride for a couple miles. Younger kids may join with parental support. Parents are encouraged and welcome to attend. All bikes should be in good condition. The pace will be fairly slow, and nobody will be dropped. The Bike Bus will only go to Sellwood Community House and Sellwood Park; riders will return on their own. Below is the Bike Bus schedule. The route is the same as last year, but will leave earlier to get to Sellwood Park by 9 am. This 8.5-mile, casually paced ride led by BikeLoud volunteers is an exploration of some brand-new greenways in SE Portland! We'll take a few short detours to learn tips for crossing streets more safely, to see special art installations and eco gardens, and to explore two really creative playgrounds. A picture taken of one school's art was accused of being AI generated when posted. It's that special, and has a very brief viewing window! This alone is worth coming to see! The other playground has musical equipment, spinners, a labyrinth, and a four-person seesaw! We'll also show you where to find bathrooms, and end the ride at the bike-friendly Hinterland Food Carts for anyone who wants to stay and grab a bite together afterward. So come ready to let your inner kid out to play while learning how to get around the 60s and 70s neighborhood streets and ride a portion of the new SE Tolman Street Greenway. We have a fun one lined up for you! We are actually starting from a different transit center, further west, and then riding back to the Beaverton Transit Center! It will lead us 16-17 miles back to B.T.C. and an elevation gain of about 500 feet! Not a lot to it. This is a ride we haven't done in a while so you don't want to miss it! Cha, dude! We'll listen to bands like Tiger Trap, The Softies, Allo Darlin', Cub, Heavenly, The Lucksmiths, and even music made in the 21st century like Slippers and Croutons. If you don't like the song, just wait three minutes and we'll move on to the next. We'll go slow, we'll meander, we'll look at pretty things and ride our bikes on a perfect summer evening. Join us for the almost 4th annual Midwesterners Ride (I missed hosting last year). Calling all Midwest transplants to Portland. You count even if you lived in Chicago for only 3 months when you were 21, or if you were born in South Dakota but moved before you could walk. Heck, youbetcha count if you're just Midwest curious! Like last time, bring your best potluck contribution (hot dish, beer brats, scotcheroos, New Glarus, Cincinnatti chili, etc) and wear something that shows your Midwest pride. We'll eat, ride (follow the cheeshead!) and stop halfway for some short card games (20 minutes or so). Bring a deck and show off your best euchre, gin rummy, or whatever card game your aunt and uncle played while drinking old fashioned’s. (It's okay if you don't know games- a friendly midwesterner will teach you!) We'll end at the Midwest inspired Jerry’s Tavern (optional) for ongoing hanging. We might argue about the exact boundaries of the Midwest, whether it is "soda" or "pop," and which state is best (obviously Wisconsin) but what we agree on: It's not the heat, it's the humidity. Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, rolling out from Salmon Street Springs every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic, party-paced social ride with warmth and weirdness from our welcoming “rolling dive bar” regulars. Most rides feature regularly spaced park and store stops, generally leading to a lively end spot around 11 PM. Come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. Strong Thursday traditions, stronger shared expectations. While you might see some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct. If you’ve been asked not to attend *any* Shift rides, you are not welcome at TNR—that’s not up for debate on our ride. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. TNR works best when everyone helps set the tone and shares responsibility. Thursday nights. Hard start at 8:05 PM. It's almost the weekend, so let's ride bikes. We roll from and return to Columbia Park (meet in front of the pool) for an hour-ish ramble through North Portland and beyond. No agenda beyond riding bikes with good people. Expect roughly 10 miles at a conversation-friendly pace (~10 mph). We usually have a brief rest stop along the way for snacks, stretching, high fives, admiring a weird tree, taking in a panoramic view, or whatever else seems important at the time. This is a no-drop ride. Basket bikes, ATBs, all-road bikes, cruisers, "gravel" bikes, fancy bikes, old bikes, rusty bikes, whatever. If your bike can comfortably cruise at ~10 mph for an hour, it’ll be fine. Bring:
-Front and rear lights (required)
-Snacks if you'd like

Celebrate the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Dress as Turtles, Casey Jones, or the Foot. We'll ride to landmark locations. Meet at April O'Neil's thrift store at 5:30. At 6pm, we ride to Shredder and Krang's hideout... I'm hoping we'll spot them. By 7:30pm, we'll end at Secret Pizza Society, Portland's best pizza place! I don't have music, so feel free to bring yours. Ride details: My ride is good for new cyclists and families with kids. We go at a slow pace so folks can socialize, and everyone can keep up. We use small neighborhood streets with minimal cars. When we mix with cars, we stay together as a group. The end spot is 2.5 miles from the start. After pizza, if you need to return to the starting point but aren't comfortable riding back on your own, talk to the ride leader about options, or I can likely ride back with you. The Bureau of Silly Bikes will be taking over Ladd’s Addition by having all sorts of Bikey Goofing, Antics and Silliness around Ladd’s. Bring your vivid Bikey & Skateboard imaginations and lets be monumentally silly in the Ladd! In 2019 we actually had a Bike Couch join us - dude if your still around I'd LOVE for you to join us again!

Do you love CAKE (the band)? Do you love cake (the food)? Then you will love this ride madly. Roll along in your short skirt and long jacket while listening to the sweet, sweet tunes of Sacramento’s best export. We will go the distance, listening to CAKE’s entire studio album catalog, back to front. There will be a vibraslap! We will give away a tree! Ditch the stickshifts and safety belts, the long line of cars, and the unbearable carbon monoxide as you embrace your rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle and keep your wheels spinning round. There will also be a cake break! Bring a cake (or cupcakes) to share at the park stop or at the ride finish to prolong the magic. We will have plates and forks but BYO to reduce waste. Also BYO trumpet. We’ll roll at a casual pace with re-groups so everyone can stick together for a ~14-mile ride. Park stop halfway through at Lincoln City Park (SE 135th and Mill). There’s one hill of size and a few short gravel bits. Come at 6pm if you want to tune in to 2011's Showroom of Compassion. Bring lights for your bike since it will get dark about halfway through. We will have two trailers, one towing a giant sound system and the other towing a giant papier-mâché cake which will hold actual cake inside it and display CAKE album visuals. Metalheads: gather at Oregon Park on Friday, August 14th for one of the heaviest rides of the year, celebrating the most brutal genre of music - Death Metal! This will be a shorter version than the 2025 edition. THEME: Death Metal! This ride will be set to a soundtrack of death metal, with tracks from its' origins to the present. Expect a playlist of old school, brutal, technical, progressive, cosmic, cavernous, grinding, slamming, gore-soaked death metal (although probably no deathcore, sorry!). Break out your best battle jacket/vest or other death metal gear for this ride. This is a curated playlist, so please refrain from conflicting sounds/bringing your own playlist. ROUTE: Route will be about 13 miles with a store stop, taking roughly 2ish hours in total. Ride may or may not be a loop, but won't end more than a mile from the start point. Glastonbury has been a major UK festival for 30 years. This is arguably the biggest music festival in Europe and also quintessentially very English with a degree of Charming cheekiness. Time to drop in too the vibe of this years Glastonbury festival. We’ll play through 2025 artists as well as some of the stand out artists and songs of the last 30years. Vibe will be high. Music will be wide ranging given the incredible line ups over the years such as music from Lola Young, Oasis,, The Idles, Kneecap,, Lizzie, Artic Monekys, Elton John, Vince Capaldi, WetLeg, Alanis Morrisette, Bjork, Blur, Pulp, Soo Good, Sublime, Lourde, Prodigy, Olivia Rodriguez, The CURE and many others. Join Columbia Slough Watershed Council and FBC.PDX leaders Amanda and Hazel for a day of biking and birding! This event is a space for BIPOC, queer, neurodivergent participants and their allies to gather, ride, and bird together in community. The group will bike ~8 miles from Vanport to Smith and Bybee and back, exploring some of the most bird-rich habitat in the Portland area. Join us for the fifth (maybe?) Pedalpalooza Portland Boring Portland, a brisk ride down to the Springwater, out to Boring, and back for about 39 miles. In the sprit of its French namesake, food is a ride feature. We'll start near a French bakery, end near a coffee shop, and hit a few food spots along the way. We'll have multiple gather spots along the way for people to catch up. All are welcome. If you're an ancien or ancienne (that's a Paris-Brest-Paris finisher), bring your jersey, rando bike, PBP signage, or stories. Any style of human powered bike is welcome, though randonneuring is the style of the day. Please bring tools to fix a flat or any other sort of mechanical that may happen. Pay attention to the forecast, and ensure you are prepared for the distance and weather. Paris Brest Paris is the oldest recurring organized bike ride in the world, having started in 1891 as an audacious 1200km physical challenge with cash prizes. Bicycles were high tech, and endurance events were the rage. PBP is now held as an amateur event every 4 years. 2027 is the next PBP year.

Mosaic is an ancient artform made by placing tiny pieces into a mortar on a surface and sealing them together to create a pleasing image. These fragments, called tesserae, can be made of tile, glass, stone, discarded shards of pottery - WHATEVER the maker has on hand. This art form lends itself well both to giant public murals and intimate, decorative arts. Production is simply a matter of laying varying colours and shapes next to each other over and over till they come to represent a pattern or a picture, a whole. As such, mosaic art lends itself beautifully to metaphor: WE are all the tiny, varied, broken pieces it takes to come together and build a COMMUNITY. Our experiences (good and bad!) are the wild, sparkling, tesserae it takes to pattern a life. When we pick up the fragmented chunks of our broken hearts and lay them next to the joys and the dramas, we curate something entirely new; everyday we are making Art simply by choosing to live. Join me on a ten-ish mile tour to appreciate some of the fanciful tile art sprinkled around Portland. We’ll also gander at some fine examples of Mosaic’s translucent cousin, Stained Glass. AND THEN join TOGETHER as we attempt to create a collaborative mosaic of our own at the end spot! This is going to work exactly as well as it can - in much the same way that the community of Portland is exactly what we make of it. For this, I have a simple, silly ask: bring along a colourful ceramic item (or glass! Or stone!). This can be a cursed piece of pottery, or that mug you broke in 2021 and never learned how to kintsugi back together… or something you found in a free pile yesterday and magpied even though you didn’t have a plan for it quite yet. I'll bring a board, some tools, cement, and a vague plan. If it works, I'll install this work at a later date at a friend's property on a bikeway, and Future You can bike by and point out to your friends how this one time, on this one ride, you made Art with a bunch of (former) strangers and you should probably do that more often…

We’ll be riding from Beaverton Central up over the hill to Providence Park to watch Portland Thorns Football Club (women’s soccer!) as they take on the Orlando Pride. It is also a night in the stadium to celebrate longtime Thorns and U.S. Women’s National Team legend Meghan Klingenberg. All are welcome, but we note that the route does have some non-trivial climbing. We can do it together! If you don’t want to try the climb, you could take MAX to the Zoo station and meet us at the top of the hill (at approx. ~4:45), but be aware that MAX trains can get pretty crowded before and after Thorns matches. There is ample bike parking that gets set up at the stadium on match days. Want to join us? Come ride just for the fun of it. A ticket is required for entry to the match; it is not included with the ride, but if you’d like to sit with us to watch the match, we’ll be in the open seating General Attendance (GA) section. It’s a relatively inexpensive ticket.

Roll to the races with us! 🚲 Join Portland Design Works, The Athletic Community and Cycle Oregon on Saturday, August 15 for a ride to the Portland Criterium. We will gather at the Salmon Street Springs fountain, ride a leisurely loop around the waterfront to the North Park Blocks, where we will ride the car-free Portland Criterium course for half an hour. After our laps, stick around to grab a spot on the barriers and watch the elite racers fly by in one of the most exciting spectator events of the summer. Back for its 16th year, Get Lost! is a Pedalpalooza Bike Ride led entirely by chance. Dice are rolled to determine how many blocks to ride, and which direction to turn once we get there (odd total = R, even =L). In the 16+ years we’ve had kid units but have never had a Family Friendly edition - that changes now with the 1st Family Edition ride in Ladd’s Addition. We ride until we find a natural end point. Feel free to bail whenever you wanna go somewhere else. You never know what to expect. Since we won't be taking designated bike routes riders should be pretty comfortable in semi-hairy conditions, but dangerous or illegal routes will not be traveled. On this ride we'll learn a basic samba no pé step--the dance of Brazilian Carnaval--and ride to the free Bloco Alegria concert in Sellwood Park. Bring samba music and Rio vibes. Dance along to a 2 hour set featuring music and dancers from one of Portland's premier samba bands! No partner necessary; samba no pé is not a partner dance. Bring food/drinks, comfortable footwear, a blanket or low chair to sit on during dance breaks and bike lights for the ride back if you're staying for the entire concert. Ride is a loop, but you're welcome to leave early at any time. 7-8 mile round trip mostly flat with a couple of hills. Mostly on bike paths and neighborhood greenways, but includes brief sections on Johnson Creek Blvd and on sidewalk/gravel. Sellwood Park has dirt paths. Bring a lock and lock your bike to itself if no rack space is available. Corking is not to be expected, but it will be a no-drop ride with regrouping after intersections and hills if the group gets split up. You are responsible for your own safety and the ride leader assumes no liability. Supervised kids who can keep up with casually paced adults are OK. We follow the Shift Code of Conduct. Calling all Brentwood Darlings! Your Bike Bus volunteers are putting on a little ride this Sunday. Meet at the Lane Middle School (now called Brentwood Middle School) bike racks (on SE 60th and Ogden) at 11am. We'll roll out at 11:15am. We'll ride 6 miles visiting some highlights of our neighborhood, including two playground stops, two nature stops and a secret waterfall (!) Families, children, adults, pets, people on regular bikes, people on e-bikes - all are welcome. We'll be riding at a nice easy pace to keep the group together. Contrapalooza is back! Join us for a night of lively folk dance with smiley humans as we ride and roll and dance our way around Portland. This ride is designed for beginners to learn how to contra dance, no experience needed! Just bring a good attitude and willingness to make mistakes. From July 13-August 17, we'll be leading a bike bus to Sellwood Park every Monday morning. This year we're excited to announce an extra bonus: Everyone 14 or under who joins us gets a raffle ticket to win a FREE WOOM BIKE, and other prizes. The winner will have their choice of a Woom Go (for kids 1.5 to 8 years old) or a Woom Explore (for kids 6 to 14). Each time a child joins us, even if they're riding with an adult, they'll get a raffle ticket. The more times you ride, the more chances to win. The Bike Bus is being coordinated with the Sellwood Community House for their summer camps, but you don't need to go to the camp to join us and get a raffle ticket. Every Monday morning the Bike Bus will leave from in front of Llewellyn Elementary School, ride a loop on bike-friendly roads and greenways, and end at Sellwood Park where Sellwood Community House has activities planned all day. The rides will be family-friendly, with music, and an adult ride leader and caboose rider. Helmets are required for anyone under 16 years old. Kids riding on their own bike should be at least 8 years old and able to ride for a couple miles. Younger kids may join with parental support. Parents are encouraged and welcome to attend. All bikes should be in good condition. The pace will be fairly slow, and nobody will be dropped. The Bike Bus will only go to Sellwood Community House and Sellwood Park; riders will return on their own. Below is the Bike Bus schedule. The route is the same as last year, but will leave earlier to get to Sellwood Park by 9 am. Everyone loves Bike Happy Hours! That's why we're bringing another one to Northern Washington County from 1630-1900! Happy Hour is NOT a ride in itself, but there will be a ride immediately after, at 1900! A good way to meet new cycling friends in the Westside and beyond, or keep in touch with old friends! Everyone is welcome to join along, maybe grab a drink, eat some good food, or just show your presence. The post-Happy Hour ride will be a casual paced 10-20 mile ride around Northern Washington County I'm going to be demoing this over the Summer on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th (if applicable) Mondays of June, July, and August, and if we like it, I'll keep it going!

We will ride to sites in Northeast Portland impacted by ICE violence and intimidation, and to sites that embody the way Portlanders are protecting one another. At each stop, we'll learn a bit about why the location is significant, and we will teach/learn/sing songs from the national Singing Resistance movement. Feel free to bring your own disc, or borrow one of ours. No prior disc golf experience necessary, this is a no drop ride. Welcome to Mellow Mondays 2026. Are you interested in leading a ride? This is a supportive and organized way to lead for the first time. Every week there’s different themes but there are constants…. Slow pace, about 8 mph, Distance varies but approx 10 miles, Family friendly, We practice consent and non-violence on all our rides, Store stop for safe clean bathroom access but generally we try and make these stops short, Skater friendly (but please check with ride leader about crunchy or potential issues for skates), ALL Wheels friendly (scooter, skates, skateboard, e bikes etc), Ride is always a loop, Corking and traffic intersections are calm. Be mindful of smoking around others and do not smoke around children. FAQ, Can I bring a speaker? Yes but please speak to the ride leader and play the music they’ve carefully selected or what their preference is. Can I lead a ride? Yes, please attend a few first and get a feel for how the rides are. I’ve heard NakedHearts supports other rides? Yes, we can help with planning, encouragement, promotion, sound support and what not. What do you mean you practice consent? We ask everyone (even friends, relatives, husbands and wives with each other) to ask for permission before touching anyone else or their belongings and when asking to seek listen and empower ‘No’. What do you mean you practice Non-violence? We specifically expect everyone to be calm, kind and respectful with all car interactions. One riders aggression to a car driver can put everyone else at risk. We live in a small city and are bound to encounter the same drivers again. Are all your rides a protest? Yes, being together with respect and acceptance and finding comfort and joy around others and strangers is an act of protest against the divisive paradigm we are in.
