9:30 PM
End location: Wallace Park
Ride length: 8-15 miles
Cornell Will Be Swell! WWR takes on Cornell! This is a fantastic route that gets steep real quick in the west hills, climbing 1400' over 5-6 miles. The grade goes up to 15%, but is never sustained, we will regroup after each steep section. Why bother? A killer hill bomb down Thompson and Cornell into Portland with a couple tunnels thrown in to boot. Ride will end at Wallace Park in NW! Total distance is ~13 miles and there is a spot to refill water along the way. Bring lights and legs!

Once you make it to BTC open your phone and open maps. Search for an X. It marks the spot. Hopefully the X you see is with the cyclists across the street wondering what the hell you are doing?

June is over and you still haven't rode your bike with us. That's okay. No one is perfect but you do have an opportunity to redeem yourselves and make a ride. Rudy is deciding between two routes. One route is 18 miles and 1.1k of elevation and the other route is only 14.6 miles and 836 feet of elevation. Both will utilize all terrain types, like usual, and as always we have a no drop mentality. It does happen though.

Let’s go check out the Burlingame neighborhood! Except a 19 mile ride with over 1k of elevation to climb. With all that climbing that must mean there will be bombs to descend! Cha, dudes! No drop mentality and a cowabunga lifestyle make for a fun ride! Make some friends or bring your along. Use the MAX or buses to get to and from the start and stop point. And now a message from our leader. “July 15: Bumbling Around Burlingame 19mi/1000’ Burlingame! A cyclist’s paradise of freeway on ramps, narrow dirt paths, and steep streets that go nowhere. We’re gonna ride through it, anyway! C’mon, it’ll be fun!”

And the leader says, “July 29: Hidden Creek from Quatama Station 16.8mi/480’ Join us at a different starting point, Quatama Station, for a visit with a forest giant and the usual funny business as we make our way back to Beaverton Transit Center.”

No drop mentality, we will wait for ya, and flooded with P.M.A., you got this. Come ride with a great group of friends up a hill! This is NOT a loop. There will be multiple ways to return depending on your destination. Come hang!
