Dog Friendly Ride

Meet by the Gazebo
Corvidae BC
Sun, Jul 12, 2026, 1:00 PM
Meet at 1 pm, Ride at 2 pm
Calling all fur friends and their humans to join the Corvidae Bicycle Club, Sunday, July 12th, at 1 pm at Peninsula Park by the gazebo, as we roll around town on a socially paced ride exploring some of Portland’s dog-friendly spots! This casual ride will be slower paced, and shorter ride than our normal rides with longer park stops to allow for pups to play and enjoy the day. You don’t need an animal to join, just a bike and love for our Portland pups. Dog-themed costumes or clothing are encouraged. Ride leaves at 2 pm. Let’s make it a paw-fect day: - Always ask permission before petting someone else's dog - Bring plenty of water for your pets - Poop bags and pick up required - Due to expected asphalt temperatures and an 8-10 mph pace, we do not recommend having your dog run alongside your bike. A pet carrier of some type is recommended - We will not be making any store stops, so please come prepared This is a no-drop ride, but please bring your repair kit with a spare tube so we can keep the ride rolling. Please bring your own provisions; we’ll be stopping near stores, but not at them. Each member has an eye out for the crowd, will cork, sweep and be a general pillar of support. Ride pace is casual at around 10 miles with a few park stops. We aim to impress that this is a safe environment for all; no aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Please review our Corvidae Code of Conduct on our FB main page or IG highlights.

Established in 2017, we ride once a month to enjoy what this city has to offer. Each month is led by a different CORVIDAE member, and therefore will be unique. We occasionally have themes or additional donations to different organizations. Additionally, host pop-up rides during the summer and collect dry non perishables for food donations every month. We try to focus our rides on greenways, group etiquette, safety measures and general comradery. In addition to bike safety and accessibility, we want to promote using bicycles as an alternative to fossil fueled travel within Portland. This is a no-drop ride, but please bring your repair kit with a spare tube so we can keep the ride rolling. Please bring your own provisions; we’ll be stopping near stores, but not at them.
