21+ Only
roll 10:10
Maria the Bicycle Kitty
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 10:00 AM
We roll at 10:10am
Ride is a loop
Ride length: 15+ miles
Monthly ladies only ride (trans ladies this means you too!) This ride is "no dudes, no e-bikes, no offense". I welcome e-bikes on the many other rides I organize, but they are not a good fit for this ride. We always meet at the northern end of the trolley trail at SE 17th Avenue & SE St Andrews Drive, across from the Goodwill Bins and very close to the Springwater Trail - about a half mile from the Orange Line MAX (Johnson Creek/Tacoma stop). We're usually a small group of 4-6-8 riders. Our pace will be approximately 12-14mph, slower if it's super wet or on hillz. Please stay behind (or beside) me so I may set our pace. If even one rider goes off the front, it's contagious and soon we're dropping folks, which is the opposite of what our chill squad is about. Our rest stops will be at parks with bathrooms and water spigots. Bring the snacks you’ll need for the day, along with a spare tube (even if you ride tubeless or don't know how to fix a flat). We'll plan to do our "Hidden Falls" route: 30 miles, 1300' gain, all paved except path into Hidden Falls, https://ridewithgps.com/routes/48697900 OR we can all decide together at the start to do one of these instead if that's preferred: Ladies Lake O, 21 miles, 1800' gain, paved NEW! https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53640049 Eastside River Loop, 23 miles, 1020' gain, includes a mile hike-a-bike section https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53012294 Happy Valley Industrial, 25 miles, 1000' gain, all paved Best on Sundays https://ridewithgps.com/routes/52585762 Salish Ponds, 27 miles, 500' gain, all paved except for gravel path into Salish Park Great for rainy days https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51303515 East to Binford Trail, 22 miles, 600' gain, all paved except for 1/2 mile path Springwater Trail to a gorgeous trail in the woods https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51201436 Aldercrest Classic, 20 miles, 800' gain, all paved The route that started it all! https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49133783 West Riverside Loop, 23 miles, 1300' gain, less than 2 miles on wooded paths Not great for rainy days, starts with a climb https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44932165 Happy Valley Cutties, 17 miles, 600' gain, less than 2 miles on gravel paths Features some strange but fun nature cut throughs https://ridewithgps.com/routes/43720667 East to Boring, 35 miles, 700' gain, all paved Our longest ride, great for rainy days as we can easily cut it short https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42299988 Oregon City Viewpoints, 25 miles, 1200' gain, all paved Views and car-free Waterboard Park, not great for rainy days https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42176352

The Portland United Bikepackers is a group of people who like to ride bikes on dirt, gravel, rock, or road, and take their camping gear with them. We have a listserv where we invite others to pedal, ask a question, or share a story. Camping trips are encouraged but single day adventures are appreciated too. We're dirt cruisers, not racers; our pace is laid back. Our group is made up of multiple genders. All experience levels are welcome. We're having a meet & ride for new and existing members on Sunday, April 19 from 10am to noon. We'll hang out a bit, eat snacks, and go on a mixed terrain ride in the greater Mt Tabor area. There will be asphalt, gravel, grass, chunky concrete, and if this rain keeps up, a modest amount of mud. It will be sort of like a real bike packing trip, save the camping and leaving town part. Mia and Bruce will be your hosts and ride leaders. We'll meet rain or shine near the basketball court at Clinton City Park, just west of SE Clinton Street and SE 58th Ave. If it rains, we'll be under the eaves at Atkinson Elementary school. If you can't make the event, but want to get involved, join our listserv. Details at https://terrapintales.wordpress.com/portland-bikepackers-list/

Actually we leave at 7:30 now…it’s too cold to hang around
Ride is a loop
Welcome to Mellow Mondays 2026. Are you interested in leading a ride? This is a supportive and organized way to lead for the first time. Every week there’s different themes but there are constants…. Slow pace, about 8 mph, Distance varies but approx 10 miles, Family friendly, We practice consent and non-violence on all our rides, Store stop for safe clean bathroom access but generally we try and make these stops short, Skater friendly (but please check with ride leader about crunchy or potential issues for skates), ALL Wheels friendly (scooter, skates, skateboard, e bikes etc), Ride is always a loop, Corking and traffic intersections are calm. Be mindful of smoking around others and do not smoke around children. FAQ, Can I bring a speaker? Yes but please speak to the ride leader and play the music they’ve carefully selected or what their preference is. Can I lead a ride? Yes, please attend a few first and get a feel for how the rides are. I’ve heard NakedHearts supports other rides? Yes, we can help with planning, encouragement, promotion, sound support and what not. What do you mean you practice consent? We ask everyone (even friends, relatives, husbands and wives with each other) to ask for permission before touching anyone else or their belongings and when asking to seek listen and empower ‘No’. What do you mean you practice Non-violence? We specifically expect everyone to be calm, kind and respectful with all car interactions. One riders aggression to a car driver can put everyone else at risk. We live in a small city and are bound to encounter the same drivers again. Are all your rides a protest? Yes, being together with respect and acceptance and finding comfort and joy around others and strangers is an act of protest against the divisive paradigm we are in.

Thu, Apr 23, 2026, 7:00 PM
Meet at 7:00, announcements around 7:30. 🕢 After 7:30, follow us to the next stop.
End location: Not a loop, but usually with a fire.
Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. New leadership, same positive vibes. While you might expect some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct, and if you’re banned from any Shift rides, TNR isn’t for you. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Riders should practice consent, accountability, respect, and de-escalation at all times. Stay behind the ride leader and don’t forget to thank a corker! 📍 Salmon Street Springs, every Thursday, rain or shine. 🕖 Meet at 7:00, announcements by 7:30, leave after “Beer Minutes.” 🕢 If you’re not at the fountain by 7:30, you may want to meet us at the next stop. 🧭 Live Location: https://ridewithgps.com/users/1303039/live_log ✨Be an Empowered Bystander✨ See something off? Step up in a way that feels right for you: 🗣️ Direct: If it’s safe, say *That's Not Right* for TNR. 🎭 Distract: Change the vibe and give them an out 🙋🏽 Delegate: Get help from a ride leader or trusted friend ⏳ Delay: Check in with the person afterwards 📝 Document: Write down what happened
⛲️ If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to get involved, come early and ask for the ride leader—we’ll see you at the fountain!

Meet 7ish. Ride 8 ish.
Friday night ride is a social ride for people who enjoy a sporty pace and adventurous routes. Every ride is different but generally range between 15 and 25 miles and you can expect some climbing and higher speeds than your average pedalpalooza ride. NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE. Riders should be self sufficient and have a plan for getting themselves home. This is a bicycle-forward group ride. Pedal-assist ebikes are ok (class 1 & 2). Throttle heavy, high speed battery powered motor bikes are not (class 3 & 4). If you're not pedaling it’s not a bicycle and you will asked to leave. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Be careful of slippery roads/leafs on ground/pot holes. Call out road hazards to help bike friends stay safe. 2nd Fridays are MMR - later night vibes to make it to Midnight Mystery Ride. If you want to lead a ride just ask! REPEAT… NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Guest ride leaders wanted and appreciated! Instagram @fridaynightride

Hey Guys! I guess it's been a sec since we last did this huh? Well all this good weather and at least I know I have been biking more so let's see if folks are ready for Bike Spring? at least Pre Bike-Summer... I just chose Ms. Pacman at random. it's a great game. and one that anyone can crush after a few warm up games. We previously hosted this game but it was lit 105' that day and all the rides were cancelled and we still pulled it off but are really hoping some folks bring their "A" game and show off some hi scores. Keith and I are getting the trailer ready and have a good location picked out and hopefully no rain and see you friday! If you weren't already aware, we bring a large video projector around by bike and play vintage video games in unusual places... It's a blast you should come!
