Get your gluten AND your glutes on! A morning tour of some of Portland's best sourdough bread bakeries. We'll meet in the miasma under the Franz bread sign to get in the mood, then ride through SE Portland and NE Portland ending at the King Farmer’s Market for a picnic on the lawn. I'll get a loaf from each bakery, but please bring some $$ to support the bakers and/or contribute bread or spread to share! Extra points if you baked it yourself. The ride is not a loop, under ten miles for the whole shebang. No-drop, social pace, but we'll limit stops to 20 min (so maybe don't order a complicated sandwich). If you want to stay longer (maybe you really want that complicated sandwich) you can catch up at the next bakery. Helpful but not necessary for picnic time: blanket, knives, cutting boards, spreaders/spoons.

Start anywhere along the route and bike, walk, or roll as you explore neighborhood greenways, parks, and community resources. Along the route and at featured parks, you’ll find vendor marketplaces, community booths, free family-friendly activities, and live entertainment. Promote community inclusion and connection for every level of ability with ALSO's beginner-friendly, no-drop group bike ride. This is a great opportunity to break out your bike and have a fun, safe experience on the car-free route that PBOT’s Sunday Parkways has cleared for everyone with a group of like-minded folks who care about disability justice. We’ll be biking on the section from Parklane Park to Lincoln City Park and back again, around 3 miles round trip. We will take a break at Lincoln City Park, but may take more breaks if people need them. When we return to Parklane Park, we will have a small, snacky picnic for anyone who wants to keep hanging out! If you need an adaptive bike in order to participate, Adaptive Sports NW will be at Parklane Park to let people borrow their bikes. This is the 5th annual 26" or DIE! A ride made for you and your 26" mountain bike! Meet at 12pm. I’ll provide pizza to kick things off (while supplies last!) Once food is gone..We will then roll out to do the NoPo Cutty route. This route is 30ish miles, fairly flat, and involves some off the beaten path trail riding! Do you like zines? Of course you do, Portland loves zines. Whether you make 'em, or read 'em, or just like to look at them this ride is for you. Bring some zines of your own creation, or just a few you're willing to part with and trade and then go for a ride, stopping at a few locations that have fostered the zine community (there's a lot so I'm just choosing a few). The idea is to trade, but if you're inclined to sell them (after all, time, effort, and work go into these) that's OK too. We will start with a meet up at Laurelhurst Park at the picnic area on the North side of the park (closer to SE Ankeny St) to do the trade/swap/what-have-you at 12:00pm and then depart around 1:00pm to ride out to the Microcosm store, Secret Room, and conclude with a tour of Portland's zine mecca: the Independent Publishing Resource Center (or IPRC for short). This will be the release of Hex zine #3 as well, a more music-based zine, as well as the accompanying free side-zine, Portland Is a Bike Gang (a free comic zine, which will only be for this ride!) Safety tip: don't read zines while you ride. There will be time for that after the ride.

Come enjoy the sweetness of summer at an acoustic concert at Grasslands Farm, located in inner NE Portland. A family-paced ride from Wilshire park will leisurely roll to the farm, where musicians will be taking the stage for our listening pleasure. We ride for a bit listening to 90s dance and pirate radio rave anthems but then at our first and final stop we'll get the euphoric beats going and your body moving. This is more dance than ride. No store stop, bring your own supplies. Dress as a saint from Utah, or a prodigy, or a shaman. This ride takes us back to times before internet takeover and social media puffed up egos, drained souls and wiped out humor. Simpler, better times. Those that were there were lucky to be there, and those who weren't, can be there now on this ride. This is not a ride for those who take themselves seriously. If you haven't done a Park Disco before, you haven't lived.

Everyone loves Bike Happy Hours! That's why we're bringing another one to Northern Washington County from 1630-1900! Happy Hour is NOT a ride in itself, but there will be a ride immediately after, at 1900! A good way to meet new cycling friends in the Westside and beyond, or keep in touch with old friends! Sometime in the middle 19th century, stone mile markers were placed along the length of what became SE Stark St. From the Willamette to the Sandy River, these milestones helped travellers navigate what was once a "wild" area. Over the years these markers were largely forgotten, yet miraculously over half still remain! We'll take a leisurely bike tour to see the markers that still remain from MP2 to MP7. Ride is not a loop but will end near the SE 122nd MAX Station on the Blue Line. After the ride ends there will be an option for interested folks to get food and libations. Cornell Will Be Swell! WWR takes on Cornell! This is a fantastic route that gets steep real quick in the west hills, climbing 1400' over 5-6 miles. The grade goes up to 15%, but is never sustained, we will regroup after each steep section. Why bother? A killer hill bomb down Thompson and Cornell into Portland with a couple tunnels thrown in to boot. Ride will end at Wallace Park in NW! Total distance is ~13 miles and there is a spot to refill water along the way. Bring lights and legs!

These rides are a space for those that would like to participate in group rides, but may have sensory challenges that can make it hard to participate, or those that just prefer this type of environment. Led by neurodivergent folx, rides include a slow pace (6-8mph), lower traffic routes on neighborhood greenways, quieter or no music, and conduct expectations around creating a more relaxed and sensory friendly experience. They will be held periodically throughout the summer on Thursdays. Start locations will cycle around certain parks, and the route from each start location will be consistent. Routes will be posted on the @ridesafepdx Instagram account before the ride. These will be no-drop rides, bathroom access, and always have the option to pause the ride if anyone has needs. ---- Expectations: Consent is required at all times. Ask before touching people or their property. Keep the environment positive, and be cognizant if your behavior makes, or may make others uncomfortable. Please tell a ride leader if someone causes stress. We will alternate between music and no music. If we do have music, it will always be softer music at a lower volume. No music/speakers at all outside of the ride leader. Keep talking volume levels lower and consistent, and avoid sudden noises. Bell ringing should be reserved for alerting to issues (we can talk/wave to people we pass), and don't use electronic sounds. We will still use verbal bike safety cues. Be cognizant of scents and no smoking or vaping at all while riding (even in the back), or in noticeable proximity to the group at the start or on stops. Please no alcohol consumption during the ride. Be conscious of others and give as much space as possible. Always stay behind the ride leader. No racing, tricks, swerving, weaving in/out of the group, etc. Keep bike lights solid on lowest brightness, or off. No bright or flashing lights. People can be as social as they choose to be, or not at all. We will have wrist bands for those that wish to not be approached by others. Let's go explore two of my favourite parks that are kind of a PITA to access via transit! We'll start at Orenco MAX station, use the Paula Jean Powerline Trail, explore some NEW cycling infrastructure in South Hillsboro, and cut through Alohaland until we find ourselves at Jenkins Estate. Then, we'll travel a little bit west and stop by Cooper Mountain Nature Park. We'll have to dismount for each park, as they generally do not permit bikes on the paths, but we will explore around each. There is also about an 800ft incline to Cooper Mountain (it's a mountain after all), so I'm going to say keep the kids at home this time.

Thursday nights. Hard start at 8:05 PM. It's almost the weekend, so let's ride bikes. We roll from and return to Columbia Park (meet in front of the pool) for an hour-ish ramble through North Portland and beyond. No agenda beyond riding bikes with good people on a summer evening. Expect roughly 10 miles at a conversation-friendly pace (~10 mph). We usually stop briefly along the way for snacks, stretching, admiring a weird tree, taking in a panoramic view, or whatever else seems important at the time. This is a no-drop ride. Casual ride to art galleries for the First Friday Art Walk. First Friday Art Walk is a monthly tradition where inner SE art galleries stay open late, bring in artists, have free food, and have hands-on arts projects. http://firstfridaypdx.org/ Biking is the best way to get around to these galleries. We get to 5-8 galleries, depending on how long our group spends in each gallery. We don't know exact routes and galleries, because we decide in the moment. We'll stay out until ~9:30pm, then see if folks are up for a group dinner afterwards. Join for as many galleries as you like, and leave when you wish. If you have a sound system bring it! I love music on group rides. Ride details: 5-15 minutes of biking between galleries. Our ride is perfect for new cyclists and families with kids. We'll go at a slow pace so folks can socialize, and everyone can keep up. We use small neighborhood streets with minimal cars. The ride ends at a different location from the start. If you need help biking home afterwards or getting to your car, chat with the ride leader.

It's the 50th anniversary of one of my favorite movies! We'll ride around town in our very best workout clothes. Ride ends with a screening of ROCKY (1976)

Have you never heard an Outdoor Warning/Tornado/Air Raid Siren in your life? Or maybe you used to live in the Midwest and miss the electromechanical harmony they produce! Well this ride will take us to Gaston, located in beautiful rural Washington County, about a 13 mile ride, with not too much climbing from downtown Hillsboro. They happen to have an electromechanical siren (one that actually has moving parts, not a giant speaker) that they restored a couple years back, and they test it every first Saturday at noon! It is a Federal Signal 3T22, one of the most iconic American sirens ever made. This ride is an OUT AND BACK format, meaning we will be starting at Hillsboro Civic Centre, heading to Gaston, and then heading back to HCC via the same way, which is about 26 miles round trip. We will try our best not to drop on this ride, however we cannot delay too much, as the siren sounds sharply at noon, and there is only finite buffer time. Also, there is NO RELIABLE BUS OR MAX SERVICE AFTER LEAVING HILLSBORO. This means that if you are riding an EBike, to make sure you have enough range, and for anyone that your bike is in good condition, and that you have enough water and snacks, so that you do not need to be "rescued" home. We will make some stops along the way to carb up, hydrate, and enjoy the view! I do not recommend children, as the overall length is quite long, however if you would like to bring children in the Westside, consider looking at my Kidical Mass rides.

Join us for the Biggest Kids Bike Parade this Side of the Mississippi!! This is an all ages bike parade that starts at Rose City Park Methodist Church (58th and NE Alameda) and ends at Rose City Park Elementary School (~1.5 miles). It's a slow pace--scooters and glide bikes welcome--and ends with a popsicle party at the elementary school. We gather in front of the church at 9:45am and depart at 10am. Ride ends by 10:45am and you can stay at the party as long as you like. It's a great way to kick off July 4th celebrations. Come one, come all!

He is well known in Canada for hosting workshops and mass public party events, inspiring people to take social risks and find greater joy and connection in their lives. He is leading a global movement of Joymaking - the art of spreading Joy. What does that mean? Ditch the fireworks and the parades! The US was built on genocide and we ain't celebrating that. Instead, come roll with us as we ride around town playing music by Indigenous artists. All money raised will go towards delivering material aid directly to Cuban people who are suffering immensely under a US blockade. We won’t be playing covers of Jolene all night, we’re gonna go ALL THE WAY BACK to Hello, I’m Dolly and move through the years. We’ll hear songs she wrote but was made a hit by someone else, like Skeeter Davis or Whitney Houston. Even songs she loaned her voice to, like Sabrina Carpenters “please please please” and yes, even Beyoncés Jolene cover. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has provided books to children for free in at least FIVE countries! We will be visiting a few Little Free Libraries and I’d like to encourage you to bring books to donate! I’ll be bringing along a handful of kids books myself, including copies of my most favourite book, The Phantom Tollbooth. For the Bicentennial in 1976 a 4,200 mile bike route was created going from the Oregon coast to Yorktown, Virginia. During that summer thousands of cyclists rode across the country, some going east others going west. Bike Inns were established across the country so riders were seldom more than 30 miles from accommodations in campgrounds, schools, fire stations, churches, and other venues. Guide books and detailed maps were published covering the entire route. The Bikecentennial route continues to be used to the present day and is now called the Trans America Bicycle Trail or TransAm. Adventure Cycling Association (ACA) evolved from the 40-person staff in 1976, and continues to publish maps for this route and many others. For the 50th anniversary they are promoting group rides covering the entire route, as well as shorter rides on sections of the trail. The TransAm goes across central Oregon, so for this Bike Summer ride we are riding a portion of another ACA route - The Lewis & Clark Bicycle Trail. This 3,131 mile route goes from Illinois to the Oregon coast, passing through Portland along the way. This year is also the 50th anniversary of Trek Bicycle Corporation, which had its humble beginning in a red barn in Waterloo, Wisconsin. So our ride starts at the Trek Slabtown store, where they are kindly offering us donuts before the ride. This store is not far from where the Lewis & Clark Trail resumes its trek to the Oregon Coast. The ride is a 5.5 mile loop returning to the Trek store. We stay in Northwest Portland passing by several bicycle-related venues along the way. Hope to see you there!

Minecraft! Creepers! Block game! Fun! Fun! Fun! If you’re a minecraft enjoyer, join us on this 5 mile ride. Feel free to dress up and decorate your bike as you please. We will start at Wilshire Park, head to Irving Park, up to Alberta Park, and back to Wilshire, stopping along the way to gather ourselves and have a break. Slow pace, no drop, kid friendly. Oregon Department of Transportation Got Their Freeways On South Portland is a tour of the streets and spaces under and around the extensive freeway and highway infrastructure in South Portland. We'll see, but mostly not ride on, the world-renowned (for how seismically unsound it is) Marquam Bridge, the Ross Island Bridge, the infamous Harbor Drive that was never removed, Macadam, I-5, I-405, Naito, Barbur, and some sketchy tunnels. You'll also learn about why the street numbers go backwards and how to get around the freeway when the elevator is broken. Slow pace, about 8 mph, Distance varies but approx 10 miles, Family friendly, We practice consent and non-violence on all our rides, Store stop for safe clean bathroom access but generally we try and make these stops short, Skater friendly (but please check with ride leader about crunchy or potential issues for skates), ALL Wheels friendly (scooter, skates, skateboard, e bikes etc), Ride is always a loop, Corking and traffic intersections are calm. Be mindful of smoking around others and do not smoke around children. FAQ, Can I bring a speaker? Yes but please speak to the ride leader and play the music they’ve carefully selected or what their preference is. Can I lead a ride? Yes, please attend a few first and get a feel for how the rides are. I’ve heard NakedHearts supports other rides? Yes, we can help with planning, encouragement, promotion, sound support and what not. What do you mean you practice consent? We ask everyone (even friends, relatives, husbands and wives with each other) to ask for permission before touching anyone else or their belongings and when asking to seek listen and empower ‘No’. What do you mean you practice Non-violence? We specifically expect everyone to be calm, kind and respectful with all car interactions. One riders aggression to a car driver can put everyone else at risk. We live in a small city and are bound to encounter the same drivers again. Are all your rides a protest? Yes, being together with respect and acceptance and finding comfort and joy around others and strangers is an act of protest against the divisive paradigm we are in.

Join tree lovers Thomas (Friends of Trees) and Ryan (Nidus Consulting) for a casual tree appreciation ride around SE Portland. We'll visit several of our city's remarkable Heritage Trees, talk about the benefits of trees, and end our ride with a discussion about how we can expand our urban canopy. Mostly, we'll just enjoy the company of each other and the shade of some gorgeous trees. Thanks to PCEF funding, riders will also have the opportunity to sign up to receive their own FREE trees planted through Friends of Trees! We'll also share volunteer opportunities and other ways to get involved with trees in the city. **This event was rescheduled to Tuesday, July 7, to avoid conflicting with Rumble on the River #32, which is also tree-themed!

Taco Tuesday Rides 🌮🚲 (21+ only) Join us every Tuesday evening for a fun, social, and chill community bike ride around Portland! 📍 Meet-Up Location: Salmon Street Springs 🕕 Meet Time: 6:00 PM 🚴 Roll Out: 6:30 PM 📅 Every Tuesday from June 2, 2026 through August 25, 2026. Each ride is a loop and will range from approximately 2–4 miles at a relaxed, social pace. Every Tuesday we’ll visit a different taco spot or local establishment depending on capacity and availability. This ride is about building community, having a good time, and creating a welcoming space for everyone. All attendees are expected to be respectful of one another, the ride leader, corkers, and the establishments we visit. Riders must obey all traffic laws, stay in the right lane when riding, and not pass the ride leader unless instructed otherwise. No disrespect, harassment, or harmful behavior of any kind will be tolerated. We want everyone to feel safe, included, and comfortable while riding together. Read more about WeBike at thestreettrust.org/webike Join us for a fun and friendly WTFNB+ Fix-A-Flat class, hosted at Bike Farm! Where: Bike Farm (1810 NE First Ave, Portland, OR 97212) When: Tuesday, July 7, 6-8 p.m. We'll start with a conversation and demonstration about flat tires, covering the following questions: What causes flat tires and what is in my power to reduce my risk of getting them? How do I fix a flat when it does happen - what tools and skills are required? Then we'll have an hour of hands-on practice time. You can bring your own bike to practice on, or borrow one of ours. We'll also have lots of punctured tubes available for folks to practice their patching skills. All attendees will receive a free patch kit and a pair of tire levers! This event will have a relaxed, welcoming vibe, and is designed for folks of all experience levels. Bring your questions, and if you have tips and tricks you want to share with the group, we can't wait to hear 'em. We're excited to be hosting this clinic at Bike Farm during their Alphabet Night, a volunteer shift that centers underrepresented genders and sexualities in cycling. This will be an indoor event. Masks aren't required, but we'll have some on hand in case anyone would like to wear one.

WeBike - The Street Trust

We meet up every other Tuesday. We ride in the Southeast Portland we have food carts and a beer tent at the start of the ride. And we go somewhere and generally have a fire.
