For over 20 years, Breakfast on the Bridges has been offering up free coffee and goodies to people biking, walking, scooting and boarding across Portland's bridges. Generally the last Friday of every month, look for our special events during Pedalpalooza and December!

The Hazelwood Neighborhood Bike Fair at Menlo Park Elementary is a free, all-ages community event hosted by the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT). Activities are FREE and there’s something for everyone, including: Learn to ride lessons for kids and adults Bike skills course to practice safe riding Free Quick-fix Bike Repair to make sure your bike is rolling smoothly and safely Guided community ride: a low-stress 1-2 mile ride to practice biking on city streets Free helmet distribution and helmet fitting to make sure you're protected Participants are encouraged to bring their own bikes. There will be bikes of various sizes available for children and adults to borrow for the Learn to Ride lessons. This event is hosted in partnership with David Douglas School District and Community Cycling Center. Made possible with support from Metro and the Federal Transit Administration.

Friday night ride is a social ride for people who enjoy a sporty pace and adventurous routes. Every ride is different but generally range between 15 and 25 miles and you can expect some climbing and higher speeds than your average pedalpalooza ride. NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE. Riders should be self sufficient and have a plan for getting themselves home. This is a bicycle-forward group ride. Pedal-assist ebikes are ok (class 1 & 2). Throttle heavy, high speed battery powered motor bikes are not (class 3 & 4). If you're not pedaling it’s not a bicycle and you will asked to leave. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Hey Guys! I guess it's been a sec since we last did this huh? Well all this good weather and at least I know I have been biking more so let's see if folks are ready for Bike Spring? at least Pre Bike-Summer... I just chose Ms. Pacman at random. it's a great game. and one that anyone can crush after a few warm up games. We previously hosted this game but it was lit 105' that day and all the rides were cancelled and we still pulled it off but are really hoping some folks bring their "A" game and show off some hi scores. Keith and I are getting the trailer ready and have a good location picked out and hopefully no rain and see you friday! If you weren't already aware, we bring a large video projector around by bike and play vintage video games in unusual places... It's a blast you should come!

Community led ride - many folks now know the route and different folks can point the way each week! There are three meeting points: 1. SE Clinton St/41st Ave at 10 am (ride at 10:05) 2. SE Clinton St/26 Ave at 10:10 am (ride at 10:15) 3. Tilikum Bridge at (former) PDX Opera ~10:25 am; leaving from Tilikum location ~10:30 am 4. Welcome to Mellow Mondays 2026. Are you interested in leading a ride? This is a supportive and organized way to lead for the first time. Every week there’s different themes but there are constants…. Slow pace, about 8 mph, Distance varies but approx 10 miles, Family friendly, We practice consent and non-violence on all our rides, Store stop for safe clean bathroom access but generally we try and make these stops short, Skater friendly (but please check with ride leader about crunchy or potential issues for skates), ALL Wheels friendly (scooter, skates, skateboard, e bikes etc), Ride is always a loop, Corking and traffic intersections are calm. Be mindful of smoking around others and do not smoke around children. FAQ, Can I bring a speaker? Yes but please speak to the ride leader and play the music they’ve carefully selected or what their preference is. Can I lead a ride? Yes, please attend a few first and get a feel for how the rides are. I’ve heard NakedHearts supports other rides? Yes, we can help with planning, encouragement, promotion, sound support and what not. What do you mean you practice consent? We ask everyone (even friends, relatives, husbands and wives with each other) to ask for permission before touching anyone else or their belongings and when asking to seek listen and empower ‘No’. What do you mean you practice Non-violence? We specifically expect everyone to be calm, kind and respectful with all car interactions. One riders aggression to a car driver can put everyone else at risk. We live in a small city and are bound to encounter the same drivers again. Are all your rides a protest? Yes, being together with respect and acceptance and finding comfort and joy around others and strangers is an act of protest against the divisive paradigm we are in.

A chill ride for the fair weather folks. If it's raining, I'll be inside crafting instead. No music or route or theme or store stop planned. We'll see what the group wants to do, and default to cruising around bike lanes. Banned riders are banned here. Do not touch other people or their stuff without consent. We meet up every other Tuesday. We ride in the Southeast Portland we have food carts and a beer tent at the start of the ride. And we go somewhere and generally have a fire. Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. New leadership, same positive vibes. While you might expect some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct, and if you’re banned from any Shift rides, TNR isn’t for you. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Casual ride to art galleries for the First Friday Art Walk. First Friday Art Walk is a monthly tradition where art galleries stay open late, bring in artists, have free food, and have hands-on arts projects. http://firstfridaypdx.org/ Biking is the best way to get around to these wonderful galleries, as they're spread around inner SE/NE. We get to 5-8 galleries, depending on how long our group spends in each gallery. We don't know exact routes and galleries, because we decide in the moment. We'll stay out until ~9:30pm, then see if folks are up for a group dinner afterwards. Join for as many galleries as you like, and leave when you wish. If you have a sound system bring it! I love music on group bike rides. Ride details: 5-15 minutes of biking between galleries. Our ride is perfect for new cyclists and families with kids. We'll go at a slow pace so folks can socialize, and everyone can keep up. We'll use small neighborhood streets with minimal cars.

Meet at the new Trek location in Slabtown (1560 NW 21st Ave near Raleigh) for coffee and donuts at 10am. Roll out at 10:30am on a medium-paced (12-14mph) group road ride, crossing the two bridges over the Columbia River and enjoying the bike paths on each side. We'll finish where we started for a total of about 40 miles. We will try to stay together and have several quick regroup stops to help make that happen. Please let me lead from the front, stay behind or beside me so I may set the pace. If your pace is much slower than 12mph, we'll wait for a bit but may be gone from the regroup stop when you arrive. For maximum success, download the route (it's free - link below). Be sure to turn on the "POI" (points of interest) layer so you can see where the regroups and bathroom stop are. Beaverton Neighborhood Foodie Bike Ride Saturday, May 2, 2026 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Meet at the Tualatin Hills Nature Center 6 Miles Roundtrip, Out and Back North Beaverton is lucky to have dozens of delicious local restaurants, all within easy biking distance from the Powerline Trail. The Five Oaks Triple Creek Neighborhood is hosting a relaxed group bike ride along the Beaverton Powerline Trail, highlighting some of these eateries along the way. While we will not be stopping to eat at any of the restaurants as a group, we encourage riders to return to any of them after the ride for lunch. Plus, we'll have free pastries! The majority of the ride will be on the Powerline Trail, with the route deviating a block or two to visit a few different clustered restaurant locations. The route will start and end at the Tualatin Hills Nature Center. We will not be biking on any major roads. We will follow a route that prioritizes using calmer roads to show our neighbors and fellow foodies how easy it can be to bike around the neighborhood. This is a great ride for everyone, including families, people new to cycling, or seasoned pros! We hope you’ll join us for a spin around the neighborhood and the chance to find your new favorite lunch/dinner/breakfast/brunch/snack spot close to home!

Foodie Bike Ride

Ride bikes around SE Portland with Kidical Mass! Put on your superhero costume to celebrate Free Comic Book Day with a family-friendly bike ride to our favorite comic shop. We’ll ride from the Sunnnyside School playground to Books With Pictures across from Abernethy School on neighborhood greenways and quiet streets, while listening to superhero music. This is a free event, and kids can get free sample comics! But you might want to bring money buy a book or snack at the food cart behind the shop. Your ride leaders will be dressing up as comic book superheros, but you can also be any kind of comic character or just ride as you are. The ride is a loop, 2 miles each way with a break at the comic shop and food carts in the middle, so it’s suitable for most young bike riders who can pedal their own bike. We ride at a moderate pace for little pedalers and parents on cargo bikes. Kids should wear a helmet, be able to ride in a straight line without training wheels, start and stop. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for kids who haven’t learned to pedal. Corker are welcome to be a traffic safety superhero. You use a map and compass to find as many control sites as possible within 4 hours. Each site has a different point value (shown on your map). You get one hour before your start time to plan on your best route and then up to 4 hours to do your course. Bring a watch and a cell phone--the watch helps you avoid finishing late (you lose 30 points per minute that you finish late), and the cell phone running the MapRun app gives you credit for all the sites found, tracks your adventuresome routes, and calculates your final score. Fees are as follows: - Adults (21+ years): $26 until April 26, $31 until May 1. - Juniors (8-20 years): $23 until April 26, $28 until May 1. - Children (0-7 years with adult) Free Discounts: $6 for Mt Hood Orienteering members. $3 for members of other orienteering clubs. Join us for Portland's Annual Tweed Ride! Throw on your tweed and / or vintage outfits, and enjoy a fun, social ride that showcases Portland's urban and natural settings! The ride will begin at Revolution Hall - meet at the west side of the building near the patio area. We will ride to an undisclosed natural setting for a picnic stop.
