Meet at 2:00 PM, ride at 2:30 PM sharp
5:00 PM
End location: Laurelhurst Park
Come celebrate your love and relationship with us! We are getting married, but we all know the real celebration happens with bikes. So we have planned a romantic ride that will start at the Salmon Street Springs fountain and end with a cozy picnic (or you can turn it into a date with your partner?) and an evening of comedy at Laurelhurst Park (thanks Kickstand!). There will likely be a fair amount of biketown and other electric bikes, so if you don't like being around them this might not be the ride for you. This will be an easy paced ride through some classic bikeways around the southern side of this fair city. We will plan to stop at 28th Ave food carts/Rainbow Road near the end point and you can get food to take to a picnic and watch comedy in the park. Wedding costumes are encouraged and corkers are appreciated!

The Sprockettes first performed in 2004 at Multnomah County Bike Fair (former final Pedalpalooza day-long bike party!) as the world's first minibike dance team. We danced with each other on bikes built for 5 year olds, learned how to work together as a team, built our organizing skills, advocated for bikes and bikefun, and contributed to the revolution with our whole hot pink and black hearts. The Sprockettes spawned other bike dance teams up and down the west coast and generally kicked ass. The Sprockettes disbanded in 2019, but many former Sprockettes are in town for our 20th anniversary! We won't be performing (you can check youtube to relive those memories), but we'd love to hang with you. Come to Irving Park on Friday at 6 and say hi before the Loud n Lit ride! Sing us that one part of Euromotion that you remember! Show us your favorite Sprockettes dance move! See if any of us want to do some acro with you! Talk to us about how the rock show is inside and the fashion show is outside! Read us the poem you wrote expounding on the notion that everyone is Sexy On The Inside! Note this isn't a ride - we just want to see you. <3<3<3, All the Agents of the Sprockettes

Ride is a loop
Looking to ease into your weekend? You've found the right ride. Join us for relaxed vibes and a welcoming community in our first Friday evening ride! Bring a friend or come make some new ones. Or both! We'll bring a playlist that fits the mood. We'll begin at Wilshire Park and meander around a few northeast neighborhoods with a store stop about halfway through. The route is a loop and is approx. 10 miles long. 🛼 SKATE INFO 🛼 We consider this a route for more experienced skaters. 7-9 mph pace. There are some sustained gradual climbs, a few small and gentle descents, and one longer, moderately steep descent (~5% grade) with a stop sign and a turn at the bottom. We will also encounter some crunchy/rough spots. Ride Safe PDX is a queer-led group that's working to build an inviting, inclusive, and welcoming bike community. We practice consent and follow the Shift2Bikes Code of Conduct. All wheels welcome, including e-bikes and skates. Find us on Instagram @RideSafePDX.

Meet 7ish. Ride 8 ish.
Friday night ride is a social ride for people who enjoy a sporty pace and adventurous routes. Every ride is different but generally range between 15 and 25 miles and you can expect some climbing and higher speeds than your average pedalpalooza ride. NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE. Riders should be self sufficient and have a plan for getting themselves home. This is a bicycle-forward group ride. Pedal-assist ebikes are ok (class 1 & 2). Throttle heavy, high speed battery powered motor bikes are not (class 3 & 4). If you're not pedaling it’s not a bicycle and you will asked to leave. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Be careful of slippery roads/leafs on ground/pot holes. Call out road hazards to help bike friends stay safe. 2nd Fridays are MMR - later night vibes to make it to Midnight Mystery Ride. If you want to lead a ride just ask! REPEAT… NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Guest ride leaders wanted and appreciated! Instagram @fridaynightride
