Bike army birthday social ride Saturday. This is for everyone, I love the bike culture in Portland and for my birthday I'm building a bike army social ride. Come join the fun. Ill be starting in Milwaukie at 5pm on Saturday April 25th at the Johnson Creek Max station. That way anyone that wants to do the longer route has a train option. It's also right on the springwater. This ride is a social pace meant to be inclusive to all riders, see some friends or meet new people. Bring any of your friends that you want along. The goal is to build out a big bike mob! We will head north along the spring water towards downtown collecting anyone else that wants to join. Send me a message if you want to be included in a launch text so you can plan joining along the route. We will cross the tilikum bridge and head towards thurman. Once on Thurman we will cut to Forrest Park and take a brief break at the Leif Erickson trailhead around 545-6pm to collect riders that want to just join for a shorter stint. We will ride to the picnic tables then back. (Still thinking of a small activity at the picnic tables before heading back). After Forrest Park we will head to Lazy Days Brewing across from Lillis Albina Park. Please feel free to join for portions or the entire thing! Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. New leadership, same positive vibes. While you might expect some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct, and if you’re banned from any Shift rides, TNR isn’t for you. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Casual ride to art galleries for the First Friday Art Walk. First Friday Art Walk is a monthly tradition where art galleries stay open late, bring in artists, have free food, and have hands-on arts projects. http://firstfridaypdx.org/ Biking is the best way to get around to these wonderful galleries, as they're spread around inner SE/NE. We get to 5-8 galleries, depending on how long our group spends in each gallery. We don't know exact routes and galleries, because we decide in the moment. We'll stay out until ~9:30pm, then see if folks are up for a group dinner afterwards. Join for as many galleries as you like, and leave when you wish. If you have a sound system bring it! I love music on group bike rides. Ride details: 5-15 minutes of biking between galleries. Our ride is perfect for new cyclists and families with kids. We'll go at a slow pace so folks can socialize, and everyone can keep up. We'll use small neighborhood streets with minimal cars.

Friday night ride is a social ride for people who enjoy a sporty pace and adventurous routes. Every ride is different but generally range between 15 and 25 miles and you can expect some climbing and higher speeds than your average pedalpalooza ride. NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE. Riders should be self sufficient and have a plan for getting themselves home. This is a bicycle-forward group ride. Pedal-assist ebikes are ok (class 1 & 2). Throttle heavy, high speed battery powered motor bikes are not (class 3 & 4). If you're not pedaling it’s not a bicycle and you will asked to leave. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Meet at the new Trek location in Slabtown (1560 NW 21st Ave near Raleigh) for coffee and donuts at 10am. Roll out at 10:30am on a medium-paced (12-14mph) group road ride, crossing the two bridges over the Columbia River and enjoying the bike paths on each side. We'll finish where we started for a total of about 40 miles. We will try to stay together and have several quick regroup stops to help make that happen. Please let me lead from the front, stay behind or beside me so I may set the pace. If your pace is much slower than 12mph, we'll wait for a bit but may be gone from the regroup stop when you arrive. Beaverton Neighborhood Foodie Bike Ride Saturday, May 2, 2026 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Meet at the Tualatin Hills Nature Center 6 Miles Roundtrip, Out and Back North Beaverton is lucky to have dozens of delicious local restaurants, all within easy biking distance from the Powerline Trail. The Five Oaks Triple Creek Neighborhood is hosting a relaxed group bike ride along the Beaverton Powerline Trail, highlighting some of these eateries along the way. While we will not be stopping to eat at any of the restaurants as a group, we encourage riders to return to any of them after the ride for lunch. Plus, we'll have free pastries! The majority of the ride will be on the Powerline Trail, with the route deviating a block or two to visit a few different clustered restaurant locations. The route will start and end at the Tualatin Hills Nature Center. We will not be biking on any major roads. We will follow a route that prioritizes using calmer roads to show our neighbors and fellow foodies how easy it can be to bike around the neighborhood. This is a great ride for everyone, including families, people new to cycling, or seasoned pros! We hope you’ll join us for a spin around the neighborhood and the chance to find your new favorite lunch/dinner/breakfast/brunch/snack spot close to home!

Ride bikes around SE Portland with Kidical Mass! Put on your superhero costume to celebrate Free Comic Book Day with a family-friendly bike ride to our favorite comic shop. We’ll ride from the Sunnnyside School playground to Books With Pictures across from Abernethy School on neighborhood greenways and quiet streets, while listening to superhero music. This is a free event, and kids can get free sample comics! But you might want to bring money buy a book or snack at the food cart behind the shop. Your ride leaders will be dressing up as comic book superheros, but you can also be any kind of comic character or just ride as you are. The ride is a loop, 2 miles each way with a break at the comic shop and food carts in the middle, so it’s suitable for most young bike riders who can pedal their own bike. We ride at a moderate pace for little pedalers and parents on cargo bikes. Kids should wear a helmet, be able to ride in a straight line without training wheels, start and stop. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for kids who haven’t learned to pedal. Corker are welcome to be a traffic safety superhero. You use a map and compass to find as many control sites as possible within 4 hours. Each site has a different point value (shown on your map). You get one hour before your start time to plan on your best route and then up to 4 hours to do your course. Bring a watch and a cell phone--the watch helps you avoid finishing late (you lose 30 points per minute that you finish late), and the cell phone running the MapRun app gives you credit for all the sites found, tracks your adventuresome routes, and calculates your final score.
