Ride around NE Portland with Kidical Mass! Put on your bunny ears and celebrate spring with a family-friendly bike ride and egg hunt. We’ll ride from the Irving Park playground to Grant Park on neighborhood greenways and quiet streets. The ride is a loop, with a break at the playground and egg hunt in the middle, so its suitable for most young bike riders who can pedal their own bike. Decorate your bikes and helmets with bunny ears and flowers, and bring a basket for easter eggs for the kids. We ride slow for little pedalers and parents on cargo bikes. Kids should wear a helmet, be able to ride in a straight line, start and stop. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for kids who haven’t learned to pedal. Prophecy foretells that on this date in 2063, the first warp flight by Zefram Cochrane in Bozeman Montana leads to Vulcans finally introducing themselves, changing humanity forever. Seems like a good theme for a group ride on a Sunday afternoon with decent weather. Ride is a loop, in the shape of the Star Fleet symbol. Slow pace, about 8 mph, Distance varies but approx 10 miles, Family friendly, We practice consent and non-violence on all our rides, Store stop for safe clean bathroom access but generally we try and make these stops short, Skater friendly (but please check with ride leader about crunchy or potential issues for skates), ALL Wheels friendly (scooter, skates, skateboard, e bikes etc), Ride is always a loop, Corking and traffic intersections are calm. Be mindful of smoking around others and do not smoke around children. FAQ, Can I bring a speaker? Yes but please speak to the ride leader and play the music they’ve carefully selected or what their preference is. Can I lead a ride? Yes, please attend a few first and get a feel for how the rides are. I’ve heard NakedHearts supports other rides? Yes, we can help with planning, encouragement, promotion, sound support and what not. What do you mean you practice consent? We ask everyone (even friends, relatives, husbands and wives with each other) to ask for permission before touching anyone else or their belongings and when asking to seek listen and empower ‘No’. What do you mean you practice Non-violence? We specifically expect everyone to be calm, kind and respectful with all car interactions. This ride is a rolling dance party. We will have stops for dancing. If you've got tickets to Byrne's show at 8pm, rest assured the finale is nearby and close to when doors open at 7pm. This is a no-drop ride and an all-inclusive ride. Let a ride leader know if there's an issue. The official Pedalpalooza Talking Heads Ride will still be held by River later this year. Costumes? Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. New leadership, same positive vibes. While you might expect some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct, and if you’re banned from any Shift rides, TNR isn’t for you. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Riders should practice consent, accountability, respect, and de-escalation at all times. Friday night ride is a social ride for people who enjoy a sporty pace and adventurous routes. Every ride is different but generally range between 15 and 25 miles and you can expect some climbing and higher speeds than your average pedalpalooza ride. NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE. Riders should be self sufficient and have a plan for getting themselves home. This is a bicycle-forward group ride. Pedal-assist ebikes are ok (class 1 & 2). Throttle heavy, high speed battery powered motor bikes are not (class 3 & 4). If you're not pedaling it’s not a bicycle and you will asked to leave. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Be careful of slippery roads/leafs on ground/pot holes. Call out road hazards to help bike friends stay safe. 2nd Fridays are MMR - later night vibes to make it to Midnight Mystery Ride. A pop-up Celebration of Words and Vision will be shown along the Columbia River Gorge. Poetry and art will be along two car free trails of Historic Columbia River Highway paved and accessible. Riding is Self Directed and not a group ride. The word and visual poetics center around the Columbia River Gorge and are placed within the panoramas of the Gorge. Come celebrate the work of Claudia Luna Castro, Kara Briggs, Kelly Lenox, and Speakthunder Berry. Read the words and see their artwork as the heart & mind landscape of the Columbia River Gorge. Let your own heart, mind, and eyes take in this place unique to the world. Come Walk, Roll, or Cycle these Car Free paved trails along two sections, 1) Wyeth to Starvation Creek and 2) Hatfield Twin Tunnels trails. Accessible Restrooms are at both ends of each trail. Each pop-up section has embedded poetry and art along each 4-mile trail. Two artists will have their artwork near one of the initial trail entrances within a half mile from the parking lot. Two poets will have their poems near the middle of the 4-mile total length (e.g. at 1.5 to 2 miles from either end). Those not used to walking/rolling/cycling a lot can enjoy a short distance from the parking lot of two spots for poems and artwork. For those wanting more, consider doing both two loops of about 8 miles each! Remember this is not an athletic event; it is time to take a break from the madness of the world and imbibe in the grandeur of this very world we call the Gorge. Sadly, there is no car free connection between the two trails nor are direct transit connections between these two event destinations. Trail comment: Both trails have an ADA appropriate 5% grades and are completely easy for parents with strollers & people using assistive devices. Community led ride - many folks now know the route and different folks can point the way each week! There are three meeting points: 1. SE Clinton St/41st Ave at 10 am (ride at 10:05) 2. SE Clinton St/26 Ave at 10:10 am (ride at 10:15) 3. Tilikum Bridge at (former) PDX Opera ~10:25 am; leaving from Tilikum location ~10:30 am 4. Arrive at PSU Market ~11 am Ride is on every Saturday the market is open (year round except weekend between Christmas and New Year). We will make every effort to note weather-related closures here promptly.

Let's take food to some free fridges and pantries around inner-SE on our bikes! Cargo bikes and bike trailers especially welcome!! Weather forecast says it's going to be nice dry day. This is a no-drop inclusive ride, so if you struggle going up some hills carrying lots of food we'll wait for you! Meet us at Abernethy Elementary School, under the covered area. We will visit a variety of free fridges and pantries, so feel free to bring packaged nonperishable staples, as well as prepared meals (with ingredients and dates labeled,) or even fresh veggies! Join Columbia Slough Watershed Council and community bird walk leaders Thomas Meinzen and Ryan Gilpin for a day of biking and birding! The group will ride ~8 miles from Vanport to Smith and Bybee and back, hitting some of the best bird habitat that Portland has to offer. All participants will also be entered to win a pair of Nocs binoculars and a guide book! What To Bring: Bring a bike, helmet, lock (just in case), water, binoculars, and your sense of adventure on this unique ride. Snacks will be available, as well as extra binoculars! Getting There: This event will start and end at 1809 N Broadacre Rd, Portland, OR 97217, a short ride from the Delta Park/Vanport MAX Station. Free parking is available on site. Accessibilty: The ride will be mostly paved with some gravel. This ride is best suited for intermediate riders. Participants can also expect to walk ~0.25 miles throughout the event. Questions? The Overlook monthly rides are free, family-friendly, and offer an opportunity to get outside and meet neighbors in a conversational paced ride that explores the many bike paths, routes, and destinations that Overlook has to offer. Route is always less than 6 miles (about 1 hour of riding) and is a loop. The rides are monthly on the 2nd Sunday of each month. The ride is led by Overlook Neighborhood Association Chair Nic Cota. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, want to get involved, or have any issues/ideas related to transportation in the Overlook neighborhood!

Established in 2017, we ride once a month to enjoy what this city has to offer. Each month is led by a different CORVIDAE member, and therefore will be unique. We occasionally have themes or additional donations to different organizations. Additionally, host pop-up rides during the summer and collect dry non perishables for food donations every month. ​We try to focus our rides on greenways, group etiquette, safety measures and general comradery. In addition to bike safety and accessibility, we want to promote using bicycles as an alternative to fossil fueled travel within Portland. This is a no-drop ride, but please bring your repair kit with a spare tube so we can keep the ride rolling. Please bring your own provisions; we’ll be stopping near stores, but not at them. Each member has an eye out for the crowd, will cork, sweep and be a general pillar of support. Ride pace is casual at around 10 miles with a few park stops. We aim to impress that this is a safe environment for all; no aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Please review our Corvidae Code of Conduct. Bar Botellon Tapas Menu

Learn about bike maintenance and bring your bicycle with you to get some hands-on experience doing basic repairs! We'll go over the major systems on a bike, learn how to do some simple adjustments and have time to practice flat repair. You're encouraged to bring your bike and any specific questions about issues you might have, but it's not required for attendance. Free and open to everyone. We meet up every other Tuesday. We ride in the Southeast Portland we have food carts and a beer tent at the start of the ride. And we go somewhere and generally have a fire. As a great close-knit ride open to you . i promise to make you dance like idot and celebrate your night.So be kind to all travlers , bring your friends, and optimism.
