It's Cinco De Mayo! (or close enough). Let's get outside, ride our bikes, jam out to Latin music, and have fun! This 10 mile loop will meet at Beaverton City Park, where we will head south into Highland, Greenway, and South Beaverton, exploring trails, parks, and low-traffic streets along the way. There will be a bathroom and water stop halfway through the ride. This is a no-drop ride, led at a comfortable pace so that we can all have fun. May the Fourth be with you! Ride bikes around NE Portland with Kidical Mass PDX! Bring your lightsaber, Jedi cloak or Mandolorian helmet to celebrate Star Wars day with a family-friendly bike ride. We’ll ride from Wilshire Park playground on neighborhood greenways and quiet streets, while listening to Star Wars music. Costumes are optional but encouraged. This is a kid-led ride, with our new ride leader Isaac setting the pace, with help from his parent and other adults! * Isaac will have little prizes for on theme costumes and decorated bicycles * Isaac would like people to bring snacks to enjoy at the end The ride is a loop, suitable for most young bike riders who can pedal their own bike. We ride at a moderate pace for little pedalers and parents on cargo bikes. Kids should wear a helmet, be able to ride in a straight line without training wheels, start and stop. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for kids who haven’t learned to pedal. Corker are welcome to be a traffic safety jedi. Get ready to ride! Bike Beaverton is back for another year, and it’s the perfect opportunity to meet your neighbors, enjoy a leisurely bike ride, and celebrate our city’s cycling community. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just starting out, this family-friendly event welcomes riders of all skill levels to come together for an afternoon of biking fun. From 1-2 p.m., participants can check in at the registration table and explore a variety of activities before the group ride begins. For the younger riders, the Beaverton Police Department’s Bike Team will be hosting a Bike Safety Rodeo Obstacle Course, where kids can learn essential bike safety tips and practice their riding skills in a fun, supervised environment. Attendees can also visit the Community Tabling Fair, where local organizations and businesses will be sharing valuable information, resources, and giveaways. At 1:45pm, the highlight of the event begins — the Community Bike Ride, proudly sponsored by the Bicycle Advisory Committee. This relaxed group ride will take cyclists on a scenic route through Beaverton, providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all ages. The ride will conclude between 2:15-3 p.m., but the fun doesn’t stop there! Riders will be greeted at the finish line with a well-earned treat, and the Community Tabling Fair will continue until 3 p.m., offering more chances to connect with fellow cyclists and community members

Cover Songs! David K. (California Ride) and Moorland will lead you on a casual ride around Portland. We'll be playing cover versions of popular songs. Think Tom Petty, Beyoncé, Johnny Cash, Soundgarden, Prince and Dolly Parton, with them both covering songs and covers of their songs. Only one song per artist and no covers of the same song, but this does have several covers of Beatles songs by different artists. Bike Happy Hour

Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. New leadership, same positive vibes. While you might expect some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct, and if you’re banned from any Shift rides, TNR isn’t for you. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Riders should practice consent, accountability, respect, and de-escalation at all times. Ride slowly meets at 7 pm and departs roughly at 7:45/8ish pm. An honorary 3 minutes of Ladd laps (Ding Ding Ride/Ladd500) and then we send it. Sometimes we have guest ride leaders. Friday Night Rides are different every time. Sometimes we go to other rides happening around town during the summer. End of ride fires/good vibes/respect/no jerks/ We are a community. Respect each other! No aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Violations against the code of conduct will be reported to shift2bikes. If you ride Sur-Ron/powerful electric bikes this is not the ride for you. You can come but you might be heckled. This is a bicycle ride. He'll join us for feedback and thoughts on proposed changes to Ainsworth as part of North Portland in Motion (NoPIM): a set of projects focused on enhancing safety and accessibility for biking/walking/transit throughout North Portland. This is a monthly ride on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Meet at Stacks Coffeehouse around 9:30a for coffee and conversation, then leave around 10-10:15a. Ride ends back at Stacks Coffeehouse. Established in 2017, we ride once a month to enjoy what this city has to offer. Each month is led by a different CORVIDAE member, and therefore will be unique. We occasionally have themes or additional donations to different organizations. Additionally, host pop-up rides during the summer. ​We try to focus our rides on greenways, group etiquette, safety measures and general comradery. In addition to bike safety and accessibility, we want to promote using bicycles as an alternative to fossil fueled travel within Portland. This is a no-drop ride, but please bring your repair kit with a spare tube so we can keep the ride rolling. Please bring your own provisions; we’ll be stopping near stores, but not at them. Each member has an eye out for the crowd, will cork, sweep and be a general pillar of support. Ride pace is casual at around 10 miles with a few park stops. We aim to impress that this is a safe environment for all; no aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Please review our Corvidae Code of Conduct. Ride Westside

Our instagram is nakedHeartspdx so you can see how we ride. Weekly themed rides. Different ride leaders each week, but you can expect the ride to be social paced (8ish mph), no-drop, safe and welcoming, store stop with safe clean bathroom access and the ride is always a loop. We practice consent and non-violence specially with car interactions, what one ride does affects how all rides get treated. The Mellow Mondays are a space for (new) ride leaders to try out ideas in a very supported environment. You’ll often see Mondays rides appearing again during the warmer riding season. We follow the shift code of conduct and expect everyone to be respectful of themselves and others around them. This is so we can actually relax and have fun and connect with each other in a softer space. This isn’t a sober ride but we ask for moderation to keep the atmosphere relaxed. We recommend Abraham Fixes bikes in N Williams and NomadCycles (e-bike specialist) for repairs/sales and parts. Our friends over at RideSafePDX host regular ride and we’ recommend those as a pleasant warm group to ride with.
