Celebrate the COOLEST winter holidays in the HOTTEST season of the year! Wear a costume. Sing carols at the top of your lungs. Make pedestrians & drivers do a double-take and say, "Whaaaaaa..!?" I’ll bring my loud Bluetooth speaker and some ice cold drinks. My playlist has Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas songs, but we can take turns if you have songs to play. Meet at Holladay Park (near Lloyd Center) at 2 pm to decorate your bike. As usual, I'll bring tinsel, snow spray, ornaments, stickers, etc. In previous years, riders brought a Christmas tree & wreath on a trailer and beanie-baby dragons wearing Christmas hats, some riders dress up as Santa each year, and we’ve had elves and that awesome character "Jack" from "The Nightmare Before Christmas.” That Jack is not to be confused with the person named Jack who leads the "Hi-Viz Ride”; he’ll show up and lead his "Halloween in June" ride at the same time as this ride. Both groups will ride together starting at 2:30 and be back at Holladay Park by 4, where we’ll all vote for Best Costume and Best-decorated Bike, with a prize for each winner.
