WEAR DRAGON ATTIRE / COSTUMES and/or bring/wear a swimsuit too ! Bike Ride to a ribbon cutting with a street closure from 1-2pm then continue to Cathedral Park Beach for a party supported by PopCartPDX and lifeguards. Dress like a dragon and bring loud music for the ride. Following the 1:00 PM ribbon cutting, attendees are invited to join a festive community parade to Cathedral Park Beach for a celebratory swim at 2:00 PM, honoring the community’s deep connection to the Willamette River and celebrating Human Access Project’s recently completed $50,000 boom line installation protecting the Cathedral Park Swimming Dock from large floating river debris.
