This is the ride for everyone who loves stickers. We'll meet at Irving Park near the top of the hill in the grass. Bring your bike, your friends, and your stickers. The ride will make a stop at PDXchange and will then continue across East Portland to look at sticker spots and other art. We will end at Ladd's Circle in time to join FNR.

Since I don't see one posted (I might have just missed that connection myself) I am posting this ride this year. Did you meet someone awesome at Loud n Lit but couldn't really hear them for their number? Were you too shy on the naked ride to ask that cutie for their digits? Did you dance the night away at contra but miss a dance with that one person? Or like your ride leader get wrapped up in a conversation and then bail on the ride bc it's getting late but forget about contact info for your new friend until you're halfway home? Note, this isn't specifically a singles looking for love ride (those exist and you should go to them if that describes you) this is for all missed connections. To accompany the theme we will visit several transit stations and sigh heavily when the train/bus has just left. We will (hopefully) not miss the connection to the Queen and Bowie ride, while the plan is not to merge with this ride the route will take us past their gathering location hopefully just as they begin to gather, so mayhaps you could make 2 connections in 1 night...

Find your bike Every Friday Night. We meet at Ladds circle, in the circle. If it is raining, head down to the covered area of Abernethy Elementary School. Ride slowly meets at 7 pm and departs roughly at 7:45/8ish pm. An honorary 3 minutes of Ladd laps (Ding Ding Ride/Ladd500) and then we send it. Sometimes we have guest ride leaders. The first and only annual Eurodance-party and closing Pedalpalooza celebration ride! The best and silliest genre of music ever created erupted from Europe in the late 80s and early 90s and took over every corner of the world. This will be a celebration of that pinnacle of human musical creation and riding bikes with your friends. Featuring artists such as Corona, La Bouche, Vengaboys, Aqua, Cascada, Ace of Base, and MORE. We meet at a different park in Portland every Saturday all year morning at about 9 to talk about home repair, travel plans, obscure board games, insects, etymology and sometimes bikes. Coffee Outside is often a meeting or starting point for adventures, day rides, group food cart rides or other outings. Bring a means to make coffee or some sort of coffee-adjacent beverage, or not. Instant chai? Perfect. A canned coffee beverage from the bodega? Legit. A special small batch blend of beans roasted in your neighborhood roastery that you measure by weight (portable scale, naturally) hand-grind in your titanium grinder before making a slow pour-over using hand-made paper filters and perfect temperature water? Sure, go for it. Baked goods are always appreciated but not at all required. Uniform? Nope. Fancy bike? Nope. Racing or ultra bikepacking chops? Nope. We enthusiastically welcome new faces and have no barrier to entry other than being your authentic self and leaving any bad/aggro attitudes at home. This will be on high traffic roads. The goal is to bring cyclists together and show our officials across Washington County, including Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard, Bethany, and beyond that even though we're in the suburbs, our community is full of cyclists who deserve safe infrastructure too. Friends and family of Elif: please join us for a memorial ride. We'll meet at 9:30am at Woodstock Park near the picnic tables on the north side of the park and roll at 10am. We'll be rolling by a few of Elif's favorite spots or parts of her Portland story. If you'd like to say a few words or tell a story, there will be an opportunity to do that. This ride will be paced to match the slowest rider, no one left behind. We'll be wrapping up at Laurelhurst Park at about noon at the picnic area just before the stairs if you're entering from the 33rd Street. We'll enjoy an (omnivorous) potluck picnic together there, along with a special musical performance by Elif's band-mates. Meet in town or along the HCRH for a ride to camp at the Russellquist wedding in Cascade Lox with Sugarpine lunch stop. Pack your camping gear, load up your bike, and join us at one of many stops along our scenic route through the Columbia River Gorge as we celebrate the marriage of John Russell and Emily Steelquist at Thunder Island in Cascade Locks. Starting from inner N/NE Portland, we’ll leave town via Marine Drive on our way to lunch at Sugarpine Drive-in on the Sandy River in Troutdale, which is <2 miles from the Columbia Gorge Express bus stop, which stops in Troutdale at 1:35 pm en route to Multnomah Falls, Cascade Locks, and Hood River. After lunch, the ride will continue along the Historic Columbia River Highway and State Trail all of the way to Cascade Locks. After a brief stop at Portland Women’s Forum State Scenic Viewpoint, a segment of the HCRH to the Vista House is currently closed for construction due to a landslide and may require a steep, unpaved detour. Fortunately, this closure means that traffic is much lower on either side of the detour! The ride may regroup a few times at major stops so no one gets left behind, as well as to meet other riders who will join us at Multnomah Falls or Eagle Creek. While our love and camping space may be virtually unlimited, the Bureau of John Russell regrets that seating capacity may be limited to a financially constrained list—first in our hearts, last in line for a slice. Balancing the budget is optional, but appreciated. While “banned [still] means banned,” attendance is not limited by blood relation, state boundary, or pedaling capacity—only by willingness to celebrate the marriage of John & Emily in true Cascadian style. Nomad cycles is celebrating in honor of 10 years of service. We’re a small bike shop located on 58th and Sandy that’s been repairing bikes both electric and analog and converting regular bikes into electric bikes. Businesses has been wonderful and we enjoy helping the community to keep their bikes well maintained and on the road. With all that in mind, we’re excited to announce that we’re launching our very own line of e-bikes that we are hand making in our shop and celebrating all of this by holding a party at our shop this Saturday the 30th. Afterward, we will gather at the store for some coffee and pastries! Make sure your bike is in working condition, bring a helmet, and pack some water for the road. For those under 18 years of age helmets are required and will need a guardian or parent’s signature on the ride waiver. This particular route is a casual cruise from our Portland store down to the riverfront, along the river and across the Sellwood Bridge. The Global Sumud Flotilla launches today, sailing from Spain to break the siege of Gaza! This is a historic event and people around the world will be rallying in solidarity. Join us on a ride to the Sellwood Riverfront Park, where boaters and beachgoers will be rallying together (from the water or from the shore). Our ride will be easy-paced and we'll stop for mechanical issues. We normally roll with music, but our speaker is on loan so we welcome you to bring your own music or help lead some chants on the way there. We'll ride back at the end of the rally (6pm) and all who want to return with us are welcome to ride as a group. The Arab Mahrajan festival will also be going on at Oaks Park, and we encourage everyone to take some time to go check it out while we're down there!

Casual ride to art galleries for the First Friday Art Walk. First Friday Art Walk is a monthly tradition where art galleries stay open late, bring in artists, have free food, and have hands-on arts projects. http://firstfridaypdx.org/ Biking is the best way to get around to these wonderful galleries, as they're spread around inner SE/NE. We get to 5-8 galleries, depending on how long our group spends in each gallery. We don't know exact routes and galleries, because we decide in the moment. We'll stay out until ~9:30pm, then see if folks are up for a group dinner afterwards. Join for as many galleries as you like, and leave when you wish. If you have a sound system bring it! I love music on group bike rides. Ride details: 5-15 minutes of biking between galleries. Our ride is perfect for new cyclists and families with kids. We'll go at a slow pace so folks can socialize, and everyone can keep up. We'll use small neighborhood streets with minimal cars.

Find your bike Every Friday Night. We meet at Ladds circle, in the circle. If it is raining, head down to the covered area of Abernethy Elementary School. We meet at a different park in Portland every Saturday all year morning at about 9 to talk about home repair, travel plans, obscure board games, insects, etymology and sometimes bikes. Coffee Outside is often a meeting or starting point for adventures, day rides, group food cart rides or other outings. Bring a means to make coffee or some sort of coffee-adjacent beverage, or not. Instant chai? Perfect. A canned coffee beverage from the bodega? Legit. A special small batch blend of beans roasted in your neighborhood roastery that you measure by weight (portable scale, naturally) hand-grind in your titanium grinder before making a slow pour-over using hand-made paper filters and perfect temperature water? Sure, go for it. Baked goods are always appreciated but not at all required. Uniform? Nope. Fancy bike? Nope. Racing or ultra bikepacking chops? Nope. We enthusiastically welcome new faces and have no barrier to entry other than being your authentic self and leaving any bad/aggro attitudes at home. We'll meet at Laurelhurst Park and take a conversational-pace ride to Salmon Street Springs, listening to songs about water and liberation as we go. At Salmon Street Springs there will be a rally and a short march (bikes are encouraged to jump in and help cork) which will take us to a venue where we will do a livestream with crew members on the Flotilla. The Sumud Flotilla is an incredible historic event and we're beyond grateful for the crew members who are willing to wake up in the middle of the night (9 hour time difference) and livestream to us here in Portland. Did you know that on the night of the full moon, sunset is usually right before the moon rise? Let's hit up a spot where we can watch both! Stock up on snacks and libations before meeting up, then depart on a chill, slow-ish paced 5-mile (give or take) ride to our mystery destination. Ride not a loop. Lights, layers, and a picnic blanket are good ideas. Extra credit if you bring a telescope or good binoculars to observe the moon. Please note: THERE IS NO STORE STOP. There are markets near the ride start, so go there beforehand. There should be open bathroom(s) at the end. Also: RIDE NOT A LOOP, we end where we stop.
