Marven will introduce the film and take questions via video conference from his home in the Great Bear Rainforest.
The film follows Marven and a group of photographers as they attempt to document one of the world's most pristine coastlines - before a pipeline from the tar sands threatens to change it forever.

Bikes For Humanity (B4H) is a community service project aimed at providing the public affordable refurbished bikes, repair classes & workshop space.
We have 100+ donated used bikes & need volunteers to catalog, clean and refurbish the bikes for a bike adoption event in July.

Let's meet at the Citybikes Annex at SE 8th and Ankeny and go for a ~30 mile ride! This isn't about going fast, it's about the pleasure of being in the saddle for a few hours and maybe checking out some bike paths you haven't seen before!

No one left behind, medium pace but really not that fast. Some hills. We'll end at the Citybikes Repair Shop (just 10 blocks west of the starting point!) and it will be awesome.

A commute outside your comfort zone! Join SW Portland Active Transportation advocates on a bike tour of Barbur Blvd, aka Hwy 99W. The tour will highlight bike lane and sidewalk gaps, especially the dreaded Barbur Bridges, broad expanses of commercial driveways with left turn conflicts, perilous unsignalized crossings, numerous freeway ramps and the autocentric West Portland crossroads. Tour stops will discuss active transportation improvement designs and feasibility. We can stop and pay our respects at sites of several fatal crashes involving cyclists and pedestrians that occurred in 2010.

Our ride will start at noon at OMSI with some sciency fun while we wait for everyone to gather. Our meeting spot is in the parking lot behind the PEPCO building. We'll hit the road around 12:30 for a casual ride with some science stops along the way. We'll make a loop and return to omsi and take a behind the scenes tour of our exhibit-building workshop. That smartphone in your pocket is capable of more than just slingshotting birds at pigs, you know. it's time to turn that tech tool into an instrument of art! Grap a GPS trace app (I use "My Tracks", for android or iphone) and join us. This is an art contest in which we will judge the final GPS map overlay that you have created during your ride. Contestants start at a predetermined spot, turn on and will have 1.5 hours to ride wherever they please, leaving the most beautiful GPS trail possible. Location, rules, and maybe even prizes
