Bring your trusty three speed or other internal hub gear bicycle. (If you don't have one, it doesn't matter, just come! But if you had the choice between a high-performance crabon fibre racer and an old beater, bring the beater.) Casual paced ramble of approx. 10 miles, mostly flat with a hill or two. City Hall, 1221 SW 4th Ave12:00pm - 1:00pm, Bring your lunch!
(Lovejoy Room, 2nd floor)Roger Geller, Portland's Bicycle Coordinator, will present a white paper analyzing data from the 2011 Oregon Household Activity Survey (OHAS).
The analysis is intended to answer two questions:
1) What have been the trends in transportation behavior for Portland residents 1994-2011?; and
2) What does Portland need to do to achieve its policy goals related to transportation in general and bicycle transportation specifically?
This analysis demonstrates a path to achieving the mode split goals identified in the Portland Bicycle Plan for 2030 if the city aggressively pursues them.

Are you a regular bicycle rider but have never taken a bicycle tour? Then join us to learn more about Self-Supported Bicycle Touring, We'll be discussing equipment, planning, and cost as well as day-to-day life on the road.
Please note: We won't be talking much about camping. If you want to learn more, come to our Bicycle Camping 101 Workshop, which will happen BEFORE this workshop on Tuesday March 12th.

If you want to be a part of this ultra-cool club just make a vest. Ride meets at Pirate Island (E. Esplanade) at 9 and leaves at 10 sharp. Debauchery to follow. Slower paced but we will leave your behind behind so keep up. Less than 5 miles, pretty flat terrain. We have some tasty treats for you and some stuff you didn't even know existed. - PEDAL TO THE PRESERVE!
-
8:15am, Short! 15 mins to the Preserve. Enjoy planting, hiking, or more biking on your own from there.https://www.facebook.com/events/277424089058189/
If you agree that 1.5 miles of road shouldn't separate the public from a public park, join carfreefamily.org in "normalizing" active transportation in Hillsboro. Meet at Hatfield Gov’t Station to bike as a group to Jackson Bottom Wetland Preserve. From there you can (1) volunteer to plant trees 9am-1pm, (2) park your bike at the Education Center and walk the trails, or (3) continue along the 23-mile Jackson Bottom Loop.
