Fri, May 9, 2025, 7:00 PM
Meet 7ish. Ride 8 ish.
Find your bike Every Friday Night. We meet at Ladds circle, in the circle. If it is raining, head down to the covered area of Abernethy Elementary School. Ride slowly meets at 7 pm and departs roughly at 7:45/8ish pm. An honorary 3 minutes of Ladd laps (Ding Ding Ride/Ladd500) and then we send it. Sometimes we have guest ride leaders. Friday Night Rides are different every time. Sometimes we go to other rides happening around town during the summer. End of ride fires/good vibes/respect/no jerks/ We are a community. Respect each other! No aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Violations against the code of conduct will be reported to shift2bikes. If you ride Sur-Ron/powerful electric bikes this is not the ride for you. You can come but you might be heckled. This is a bicycle ride. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Be careful of slippery roads/leafs on ground/pot holes. Call out road hazards to help bike friends stay safe. 1st Friday is bottle share night. (bottle of wine/crazy beer/kombucha/coconut water/fizzy waters/anything you like to drink/want to share) 2nd Fridays are MMR - later night vibes to make it to Midnight Mystery Ride. If you want to lead a ride just ask! REPEAT… NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Guest ride leaders wanted and appreciated! Instagram @fridaynightride

Starts at about 9, people roll in and out through around 11
We meet at a different park in Portland every Saturday all year morning at about 9 to talk about home repair, travel plans, obscure board games, insects, etymology and sometimes bikes. Coffee Outside is often a meeting or starting point for adventures, day rides, group food cart rides or other outings. Bring a means to make coffee or some sort of coffee-adjacent beverage, or not. Instant chai? Perfect. A canned coffee beverage from the bodega? Legit. A special small batch blend of beans roasted in your neighborhood roastery that you measure by weight (portable scale, naturally) hand-grind in your titanium grinder before making a slow pour-over using hand-made paper filters and perfect temperature water? Sure, go for it. Baked goods are always appreciated but not at all required. Uniform? Nope. Fancy bike? Nope. Racing or ultra bikepacking chops? Nope. We enthusiastically welcome new faces and have no barrier to entry other than being your authentic self and leaving any bad/aggro attitudes at home. We post the location every Thursday on the PDX Coffee Outside website, which our friend Chris updates, and our Instagram account.

Sun, May 11, 2025, 1:00 PM
Meet at 1PM. Roll out at 2PM
Established in 2017, we ride once a month to enjoy what this city has to offer. Each month is led by a different CORVIDAE member, and therefore will be unique. We occasionally have themes or additional donations to different organizations. Additionally, host pop-up rides during the summer. We try to focus our rides on greenways, group etiquette, safety measures and general comradery. In addition to bike safety and accessibility, we want to promote using bicycles as an alternative to fossil fueled travel within Portland. This is a no-drop ride, but please bring your repair kit with a spare tube so we can keep the ride rolling. Please bring your own provisions; we’ll be stopping near stores, but not at them. Each member has an eye out for the crowd, will cork, sweep and be a general pillar of support. Ride pace is casual at around 10 miles with a few park stops. We aim to impress that this is a safe environment for all; no aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Please review our Corvidae Code of Conduct. Ride is a loop
End location: Ride is always a loop
Our instagram is nakedHeartspdx so you can see how we ride. Weekly themed rides. Different ride leaders each week, but you can expect the ride to be social paced (8ish mph), no-drop, safe and welcoming, store stop with safe clean bathroom access and the ride is always a loop. We practice consent and non-violence specially with car interactions, what one ride does affects how all rides get treated. The Mellow Mondays are a space for (new) ride leaders to try out ideas in a very supported environment. You’ll often see Mondays rides appearing again during the warmer riding season. We follow the shift code of conduct and expect everyone to be respectful of themselves and others around them. This is so we can actually relax and have fun and connect with each other in a softer space. This isn’t a sober ride but we ask for moderation to keep the atmosphere relaxed. We recommend Abraham Fixes bikes in N Williams and NomadCycles (e-bike specialist) for repairs/sales and parts. Our friends over at RideSafePDX host regular ride and we’ recommend those as a pleasant warm group to ride with.

Thu, May 15, 2025, 7:00 PM
Meet at 7:00, announcements at 7:30, leave after “Beer Minutes.”
End location: Not a loop, but usually with a fire.
Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. New leadership, same positive vibes. While you might expect some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct, and if you’re banned from any Shift rides, TNR isn’t for you. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Riders should practice consent, accountability, respect, and de-escalation at all times. Stay behind the ride leader and don’t forget to thank a corker! 📍 Salmon Street Springs, every Thursday, rain or shine. 🕖 Meet at 7:00, announcements at 7:30. ✨Be an Empowered Bystander✨ See something off? Step up in a way that feels right for you: 🗣️ Direct: If it's safe, say *That's Not Right* for TNR. 🎭 Distract: Change the vibe and give them an out 🙋🏽 Delegate: Get help from a ride leader or trusted friend ⏳ Delay: Check in with the person afterwards 📝 Document: Write down what happened
⛲️ If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to get involved, come early and ask for the ride leader—we’ll see you at the fountain!

In/around circle….. if raining meet at covered area of Abernethy Elementary School

Fri, May 16, 2025, 7:00 PM
Meet 7ish.

Not a ride
Variable, announced every Thursday, TBA

Join us for the Coffee to Books to Beer bike ride! This fun, laid-back social ride is the best way to start the weekend, discover new spots, and have a good time. This ride is all about community, connection, and discovering new spots in Portland. Each ride we meet for a quick coffee, cruise to a local bookstore for a quick stop and browse break, then wrap things up with a pint at a brewery or taphouse near where we started. Every ride is a loop. This month we’ll meet at Albina Press at 9:30 AM to have a cup of coffee and chat with other riders. At 10:15 AM, we’ll kick off the ride, cruising through a scenic 12-mile loop with a stop at a local bookstore midway and ending at an all-ages welcome venue around noon for a well earned beverage. This ride is family-friendly and designed for riders of all levels. The pace is easy, and the vibe is friendly. Everyone is welcome! We are going to try and host the Coffee to Books to Beer ride once a month from May through October from various locations. Keep an eye on the Shifts2Bikes calendar for more rides. We hope to see you there!

Meet at 2, ride 2:30
End location: NW
For over a decade, activists around the globe have come together in May for Anti-Chevron Month. This May, we're heeding the call to action by getting on our bikes and going on a spirited protest tour of Chevrons around town. We'll meet in Irving Park at 2pm and roll out promptly at 2:30. We'll stop for mini protests at 3 Chevron locations over the course of a 5 mile ride, and finish out with a bonus activity at a mystery location in NW. This is our third Chevron protest ride, and this time we're asking riders to bring their big feelings and revolutionary joy in the form of whatever noisemaking device they prefer, whether that's their clapping hands, a pot or pan, or an impassioned speech to give to the crowd. We'll have a big speaker and a mic–don't be shy! Please also bring your signs, flags, banners and keffiyehs! This will be an easy-paced no-drop ride; all wheels/all riders welcome. There won't be a store stop but there will be vegan food and drinks at our end location. A FEW REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN US IN PROTESTING CHEVRON: –Chevron is the perpetrator of the worst oil-based disaster in history: the intentional mass dumping of 16 billion gallons of toxic wastewater and oil into the Ecuadorian Amazon –Chevron produces more greenhouse gas emissions than nearly any other investor-owned company –Chevron is supporting/profiting from the genocide in Gaza, and is one of the biggest targets of the Palestinian-led BDS (boycott, divest, sanction) movement –Chevron spends millions upon millions of dollars annually on lobbying politicians to prevent any meaningful climate change legislation from happening (democracy and capitalism are incompatible, y'all) ***Journalists who wish to come along on our rides are encouraged to contact us in advance. Please DO NOT publicly post identifiable pictures of attendees without getting consent.*** See you there!
