This ride is not a ride for the distance, nor a ride for speed. This is a ride of support, a ride of energy, and a ride of cheer for someone who is a friend of Ride Westside, experiencing her own struggles with mental health. It's going to start at Quatama MAX, taking the Rock Creek Trail, passing by her apartment, and then turning around at Evergreen Park using the circle. We're going to stop by the driveway in front of her apartment, doing a couple laps, to bring all the energy, positive vibes, and cheers to help lift her spirits. If you have anything to bring that shows support for mental health, like a shirt, flag, etc, please bring them along for this ride. Even simply wearing green, the colour for mental health awareness is enough. If you don't have green, you could bring something Chappell Roan, Weezer, Rabbits, or Audi related, because those are things she loves. You can also fly a Bi flag, as she is Bi. Nothing is required, but I would really appreciate it. I plan to do this ride as a series throughout the month. Additionally, for those interested in going to the Beaverton Foodie Ride later, there WILL be enough time for people in this ride to head over to theirs.

Community led ride - many folks now know the route and different folks can point the way each week! There are three meeting points: 1. SE Clinton St/41st Ave at 10 am (ride at 10:05) 2. SE Clinton St/26 Ave at 10:10 am (ride at 10:15) 3. Tilikum Bridge at (former) PDX Opera ~10:25 am; leaving from Tilikum location ~10:30 am 4. Meet at the new Trek location in Slabtown (1560 NW 21st Ave near Raleigh) for coffee and donuts at 10am. Roll out at 10:30am on a medium-paced (12-14mph) group road ride, crossing the two bridges over the Columbia River and enjoying the bike paths on each side. We'll finish where we started for a total of about 40 miles. We will try to stay together and have several quick regroup stops to help make that happen. Please let me lead from the front, stay behind or beside me so I may set the pace. If your pace is much slower than 12mph, we'll wait for a bit but may be gone from the regroup stop when you arrive. BIKELOUD presents Saturdays in May! Join us for a Saturday morning cruise on greenways and bike lanes through East Portland. We’ll start at Gateway Discovery Park and loop through several parks and take you two different ways across 205. Come along to learn some of the best spots to cross East Portland’s infamous stroads. Just under 10 miles at a family-friendly pace. For young kids or folks that don’t want to go as far, jumping off at John Luby Park and heading back to the start is a low stress route of about 3 miles round trip. Beaverton Neighborhood Foodie Bike Ride Saturday, May 2, 2026 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Meet at the Tualatin Hills Nature Center 6 Miles Roundtrip, Out and Back North Beaverton is lucky to have dozens of delicious local restaurants, all within easy biking distance from the Powerline Trail. The Five Oaks Triple Creek Neighborhood is hosting a relaxed group bike ride along the Beaverton Powerline Trail, highlighting some of these eateries along the way. While we will not be stopping to eat at any of the restaurants as a group, we encourage riders to return to any of them after the ride for lunch. Plus, we'll have free pastries! The majority of the ride will be on the Powerline Trail, with the route deviating a block or two to visit a few different clustered restaurant locations. The route will start and end at the Tualatin Hills Nature Center. We will not be biking on any major roads. We will follow a route that prioritizes using calmer roads to show our neighbors and fellow foodies how easy it can be to bike around the neighborhood. This is a great ride for everyone, including families, people new to cycling, or seasoned pros! We hope you’ll join us for a spin around the neighborhood and the chance to find your new favorite lunch/dinner/breakfast/brunch/snack spot close to home!

Ride bikes around SE Portland with Kidical Mass! Put on your superhero costume to celebrate Free Comic Book Day with a family-friendly bike ride to our favorite comic shop. We’ll ride from the Sunnnyside School playground to Books With Pictures across from Abernethy School on neighborhood greenways and quiet streets, while listening to superhero music. This is a free event, and kids can get free sample comics! But you might want to bring money buy a book or snack at the food cart behind the shop. Your ride leaders will be dressing up as comic book superheros, but you can also be any kind of comic character or just ride as you are. The ride is a loop, 2 miles each way with a break at the comic shop and food carts in the middle, so it’s suitable for most young bike riders who can pedal their own bike. We ride at a moderate pace for little pedalers and parents on cargo bikes. Kids should wear a helmet, be able to ride in a straight line without training wheels, start and stop. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for kids who haven’t learned to pedal. Corker are welcome to be a traffic safety superhero. PREPARE FOR ANOTHER COUNTRY MUSIC RIDE! Meet at 5pm, boots rolling at 530pm From Ella: The playlist is banging y’all. This is for anyone who’s had a week, a month or just overall done with thinking and just needs to get out and shake it off a little. It starts in that soft country heartbreak lane, Sam Hunt, Ella Langley, Chris Stapleton, the kind of songs that feel like late-night drives and overthinking, but eases into louder, sing-along country that you have to yell at a stoplight, think Kelsea Ballerini, Jon Pardi, Tucker Wetmore, a little Miranda and so much more. It’ll be a boot stomping party! By the end of the ride, you’re just not just out there, you’re present, a little lighter, a little more yourself. Good music, good people, and one of those nights that ends up being exactly what you needed:) From Moorland: Ella’s music choice is the upbeat, pop, boot kicking heel stomping vibe that’s just about screams ‘light the fire, crack open a beer and let’s wait for the stars and have fun with our friends’. My music contributions is the antithesis of ‘Bro country’ and is renowned artists like Benjamin Todd, Margo Price, Charlie Crockett and others from the new ‘outlaw/troubadour scene’. The music is often upbeat but the lyrical content can be pretty dark and often deal with the struggle of life… However, like with the Emo Vs old Emo ride the majority of the playlist will be Ella’s because the vibe is just so good. As with all NakedHearts rides we practice consent and non-violence this applies to all interactions. As we ride our behavior effects how other rides are viewed and received. We host weekly rides on Mondays at Abernethy school that meet at 7:00pm and ride at 7:30pm….

You use a map and compass to find as many control sites as possible within 4 hours. Each site has a different point value (shown on your map). You get one hour before your start time to plan on your best route and then up to 4 hours to do your course. Bring a watch and a cell phone--the watch helps you avoid finishing late (you lose 30 points per minute that you finish late), and the cell phone running the MapRun app gives you credit for all the sites found, tracks your adventuresome routes, and calculates your final score. Slow pace, about 8 mph, Distance varies but approx 10 miles, Family friendly, We practice consent and non-violence on all our rides, Store stop for safe clean bathroom access but generally we try and make these stops short, Skater friendly (but please check with ride leader about crunchy or potential issues for skates), ALL Wheels friendly (scooter, skates, skateboard, e bikes etc), Ride is always a loop, Corking and traffic intersections are calm. Be mindful of smoking around others and do not smoke around children. FAQ, Can I bring a speaker? Yes but please speak to the ride leader and play the music they’ve carefully selected or what their preference is. Can I lead a ride? Yes, please attend a few first and get a feel for how the rides are. I’ve heard NakedHearts supports other rides? Yes, we can help with planning, encouragement, promotion, sound support and what not. What do you mean you practice consent? We ask everyone (even friends, relatives, husbands and wives with each other) to ask for permission before touching anyone else or their belongings and when asking to seek listen and empower ‘No’. What do you mean you practice Non-violence? We specifically expect everyone to be calm, kind and respectful with all car interactions. One riders aggression to a car driver can put everyone else at risk. We live in a small city and are bound to encounter the same drivers again. Are all your rides a protest? Yes, being together with respect and acceptance and finding comfort and joy around others and strangers is an act of protest against the divisive paradigm we are in.

Then join our New to Portland ride on Tuesday, May 5th! We'll see some great parks, look for Heritage Trees and find other gems in the area. This is the first of a series of New to Portland rides for 2026 exploring different areas and designed for folks who want to get to know their neighborhoods and neighbors. Pop-up ride this week? Hell to the yes!!! We have a guest ride leader and a couple things to mention. Below is the ride leader’s description. Hope you make it! Ok here’s the ride description: Second Annual Beaverton High Point Ride Come join us as we ride from the lowest to the highest point in Beaverton ! This will be a 21-mile loop from the Beaverton Transit Center, with 1,100 ft of elevation (mostly towards the end of the ride). Meet at 6:30 in the field across from the MAX, roll at 7. This year’s route is longer and less steep than the one we took last year; still come ready for a challenging climb, great views, and plenty of funny business. Or just join for the flat first half! This will be a moderately paced ride with a no-drop mentality.

Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. New leadership, same positive vibes. While you might expect some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct, and if you’re banned from any Shift rides, TNR isn’t for you. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Riders should practice consent, accountability, respect, and de-escalation at all times. Friday night ride is a social ride for people who enjoy a sporty pace and adventurous routes. Every ride is different but generally range between 15 and 25 miles and you can expect some climbing and higher speeds than your average pedalpalooza ride. NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE. Riders should be self sufficient and have a plan for getting themselves home. This is a bicycle-forward group ride. Pedal-assist ebikes are ok (class 1 & 2). Throttle heavy, high speed battery powered motor bikes are not (class 3 & 4). If you're not pedaling it’s not a bicycle and you will asked to leave. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. We invite the cycling community to come together and give the joyous send-off a two-wheel comrade deserves, with a ghost bike and finishing the ride he was on when he died. Mike Sloan, a life-long cyclist and active ride leader in the Portland Bicycle Club, left this world unexpectedly on January 5th while doing what he loved… bicycling. He was near the end of his regular Tuesday ride, not far from his home and wife, when the wreck occurred on SE 52nd and Division. Witnesses report that as he began go through the green light, his bike wobbled and he fell over, crashed. The family is awaiting autopsy results (thank you to all who contributed to the GoFundMe). Mike was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cherished friend who will also be remembered for his deep love of family, his passion for building homes, hosting lively ping-pong gatherings, and home-brewing beer in his younger years. Families for Safe Streets will host a CELEBRATION OF LIFE at the crash site, along with the permanent installation of a ghost bike. This is a bike that Mike rode and was recently being used as a trainer in his basement (modified to reduce risk of theft), we will lock it up one last time together. EVENT STARTS AT 11AM: * Opening remarks * A moment of silence * Words of Remembrance, by family and friends * Lock ghost bike * Opportunity to attach a few mementos and pictures * Complete Mike’s last ride…. Families for Safe Streets - Portland Chapter

The Overlook monthly rides are free, family-friendly, and offer an opportunity to get outside and meet neighbors in a conversational paced ride that explores the many bike paths, routes, and destinations that Overlook has to offer. Route is always less than 6 miles (about 1 hour of riding) and is a loop. The rides are monthly on the 2nd Sunday of each month. The ride is led by Overlook Neighborhood Association Chair Nic Cota. This Mother’s Day, join Milagro for Verso en Movimiento (Poetry in Motion), a free midday event that combines a creative poetry-writing workshop with a bike ride around the Central Eastside to explore our neighborhood’s beautiful and powerful public artwork. Starting at 11:30 AM, participants will bring their bicycles to El Zócalo community gathering space at El Centro Milagro, where they will use provided materials to decorate their bikes (or themselves!) in any way they feel best celebrates mothers and motherhood. At noon, everyone will engage in a 30-minute writing workshop led by Milagro’s Executive Director, Dañel Malán-González, in which they will explore themes related to motherhood and/or specific connections to mothers. Afterward, everyone will hop on their bikes and take to the streets for a tour of some of the most compelling street art the eclectic Central Eastside has to offer, with a midway stop to snack, commune, and share some of their stories. Established in 2017, we ride once a month to enjoy what this city has to offer. Each month is led by a different CORVIDAE member, and therefore will be unique. We occasionally have themes or additional donations to different organizations. Additionally, host pop-up rides during the summer and collect dry non perishables for food donations every month. ​We try to focus our rides on greenways, group etiquette, safety measures and general comradery. In addition to bike safety and accessibility, we want to promote using bicycles as an alternative to fossil fueled travel within Portland. This is a no-drop ride, but please bring your repair kit with a spare tube so we can keep the ride rolling. Please bring your own provisions; we’ll be stopping near stores, but not at them. Each member has an eye out for the crowd, will cork, sweep and be a general pillar of support. Ride pace is casual at around 10 miles with a few park stops. We aim to impress that this is a safe environment for all; no aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Please review our Corvidae Code of Conduct. Welcome to Mellow Mondays 2026. Are you interested in leading a ride? This is a supportive and organized way to lead for the first time. Every week there’s different themes but there are constants…. Slow pace, about 8 mph, Distance varies but approx 10 miles, Family friendly, We practice consent and non-violence on all our rides, Store stop for safe clean bathroom access but generally we try and make these stops short, Skater friendly (but please check with ride leader about crunchy or potential issues for skates), ALL Wheels friendly (scooter, skates, skateboard, e bikes etc), Ride is always a loop, Corking and traffic intersections are calm. Be mindful of smoking around others and do not smoke around children. FAQ, Can I bring a speaker? Yes but please speak to the ride leader and play the music they’ve carefully selected or what their preference is. Can I lead a ride? Yes, please attend a few first and get a feel for how the rides are. I’ve heard NakedHearts supports other rides? Yes, we can help with planning, encouragement, promotion, sound support and what not. What do you mean you practice consent? We ask everyone (even friends, relatives, husbands and wives with each other) to ask for permission before touching anyone else or their belongings and when asking to seek listen and empower ‘No’. What do you mean you practice Non-violence? We specifically expect everyone to be calm, kind and respectful with all car interactions. One riders aggression to a car driver can put everyone else at risk. We live in a small city and are bound to encounter the same drivers again. Are all your rides a protest? Yes, being together with respect and acceptance and finding comfort and joy around others and strangers is an act of protest against the divisive paradigm we are in.
