Ride your bike naked with thousands of other people. Naked means "as bare as you dare." It's not illegal. It's fun.

Meetup point opens at 9pm for disrobing and bodypainting.
Ride departs at 10pm.

The Jerks At Last Year's Ride
I truly hope those knuckleheads from So Cal (LA) are not going to crash our party again. Last year, I felt like they were trying to 'show us up' in some perverse way. Not that that was entirely unexpected. What really bothered me (and some others) was all the junk they brought "for fun." Remember all those stupid 'beenie frogs' and lizards that were being thrown around at that 7-11 (or AM-PM) where we stopped?  The parking lot was strewn with them when we left. That was those folks. And those miles of plastic orange tape that was left at one of the stops we made? That was them too. The extremely loud music through the peaceful neighborhoods of Sellwood? Yep, them.

I asked them about their antics a number of times and was told, "it's all in fun" and "that's what we do on our rides." I'm certain I wasn't the only one feeling the way I did, however I wasn't about to make a scene and cause trouble at such a fun event. We are a very welcoming city and by all means, the more the merrier. However, if those jerks pull the same crap, they just might not feel so welcomed. At least by me. Thanks,      ~Trip

Is there an after party at the Chrystal Ballroom this year?
Last year after the ride the Chrystal Ballroom give really, really cool dance! Everyone dancing nude! Any word if they are doing it this year?

afterparties, paint, and route
afterparties:  there will not be one at the Crystal Ballroom or actually any bar.  There will be some naked-friendly venues afterwards and a ride-to-a-party-location with dancing and fire.  There will be fliers and signs at the event with that information on them--sorry, we're still finalizing it!

body paint: we use tempera since it is affordable, safe for all (unlike latex to which some are allergic) and washable.  others have used airbrushes and/or liquid latex with great results but they are super not cheap and the latex at least can really ruin clothing.  Spartacus sells it if you are interested in checking it out.

route:  we are not pre-announcing the route.  Come on the ride to find out!  It will be about the same length as last year, 7ish miles.

Please DON'T drink & bike!
Please, don't drink and bike the ride.  Its really annoying every year too many drunks biking and crashing into riders who are sober.  It is not an opportunity for you to get trashed and cause bleeding flesh all over the city street.  Do us all a favor and drink after the ride.  The event is about raising awareness for the safety and presence of bicycling in an urban environment.  NOT to cause more harms to the cyclists.

Remember, it's as bare as you dare. If you're comfortable in your own skin you will be fine. First time I joined I rode solo. You can do it!

I've ridden several times and it's a super supportive environment, but it's always fun to have friends around. If possible try to convince a friend or several to join you on the ride. But even if you ride solo you'll have numbers on your side. Being naked in public isn't nearly as intimidating as it seems when you're one of thousands!

Small Pirate flag
Help I am trying to find a small pirate flag to put on my bike for the ride. I had one but for the life of me I have no idea where it has gone too. I thought I knew right where it was and now I am at the last minute flagless. anybody have one that they could bring to the meetup? I will pay you for it. Or I can give it back to you after the ride if you don;t want to part with it.

Help, I want to watch the ride!
Does anyone know how my girlfriend and I can watch some of the naked bike ride tonight?? (Saturday June 16th) It’s 10:20PM right now and it appears that the riders planned to start at 10PM… anyone know if it’s too late/how long they ride for and/or what the ride is like? Is it 15 minutes of straight riding, or two hours of off and on riding and bar hoping or what!?  I've heard that they just won't pre-announce the route, but if someone remembered the routes from the past years that would help too I'm sure. I have no clue. Thanks. My number is Five03-Nine97-Four253 if you are kind enough to just simply call or text me with the details so I find out sooner and don’t miss it completely.

So utterly cool to participate last night as a rider.  We live in a wonderful place...  Also, I dont' take for granted the work of the Portland police;  in how many other U.S. cities would the police force make BETTER and SAFER the experience of being naked in public...with thousands of other people?  Incredible Portland, I love you!!
