DESCRIPTION:We had the most wonderful thing happen.  New to us bike fam 
 from out of state reached out about a gravel group ride.  We suggested our
  Portland gem\, Forest Park\, and a food pod after crossing St John’s 
 Bridge back into Portland.  We set a date for when they will be in town 
 and this is your invitation to come out and join in!  The route totals are
  28 miles of asphalt and gravel topping at 1\,300+ feet of elevation!  A 
 challenging yet manageable effort with the St John’s food pod to tame your
  hunger after leaving the forest and the iconic St. John’s Bridge!  Ride 
 is a loop and will end back at the statue on the east side esplanade.  So 
 come out and bring your friends and help us introduce a friend from out of
  town to our home.  Now\, just a little something from our new 
 friend.\n“I’m an Idaho bike mechanic and cyclist coming up to visit 
 looking to do some gravel grinding on my single speed! I reached out to 
 Cycle Cats PDX to meet some new cycling buddies and go on some fun rides 
 as I’m always looking for more connections wherever I travel. Come ride
