Regular Biz

  • Determine the Next Social Meet-Up location
  • Treasure Report

Old Biz

  • PedalPalooza 2009 in review (on-going as is the norm)

New Biz

  • Honoring and rewarding those who took on the most grueling of positions by sacrificing their time, sanity, and physical health to organize and bring about PedalPalooza's most major of events, the Dance Party and MCBF.
  • Also honoring our out-going treasurer for her solid commitment to the position with more than a mere applause.
  • Sure the above roles are done with a volunteer's heart expecting nothing but the accomplishment in return, yet is that enough to reward this year's achievers and to inspire next year's captain-in-charge.
  • Sharing of loose dialog scripts or topic points already in use by our vetern bikers for use by the community when confronting (intelligent) motorists to represent our “passion for the bicycle in all its glory: as toy, as transportation, as a tool for social and environmental change” (quoted directly from Shift's mission statement). [I personally am encountering too many motorists calling our cause self-righteous, as if we are some dogmatic religion! WTF!]
  • Name the Dance Party (pre-cursor to the WNBR) something other than “Kick-off” so as to avoid the frack'n confusion year after year between the Kick-off of PedalPalooza and the Kick-off of the WNBR. The People are confused and want clarity.
  • Accessory to the Bicycle Arch to the midway of MCBF: a two-sided sign needed stretching 14 converse-shoes-(size-9) or 7 26”-rims displaying “Multnomah County Bike Fair” made of canvas with 7 grommets spaced the diameter of a wheel along the top and two in the corners at the bottom. Tom will spearhead. Asking to commission Lisa or Halley to paint the lettering design (with the design voted on, of course).
